Why World Card Making Day (Oct. 4, 2025) Is One Of My Favorite Days This Year
There's something super special about receiving a handmade card in the mail, isn't there? That moment when you recognize the careful attention in every detail; the way the sentiment was perfectly placed, how the colors seem to dance together, the little embellishments that whisper "someone took time just for me."
As someone who's been blessed to share the joy of card making for years, I can honestly say that World Card Making Day holds a special place in my heart. And this year's celebration on October 4, 2025, promises to be one of the most heartwarming yet.
A Day That Brings Us All Together
What I love most about this annual tradition is how it transforms crafting from a solitary activity into a beautiful community celebration. When I think about thousands of people around the world simultaneously reaching for their stamps, sharing techniques, and creating cards that will eventually brighten someone's mailbox? Well, it gives me goosebumps in the best possible way.
This year's FREE virtual event runs from 2:00-3:00 PM Mountain Time on October 4th. For those of you wondering about your local time:
Hawaii: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
Eastern: 4:00-5:00 PM
Central: 3:00-4:00 PM
Pacific: 1:00-2:00 PM
The Heart of Our Celebration: The Handmade & Heartfelt Kit

Beautiful embellishments that add just the right touch
A mini ink pad that coordinates with everything
What makes this kit truly special is that it's designed for creating 10 different all-occasion cards. Think birthday wishes, heartfelt thank yous, "thinking of you" surprises, cheerful hellos, and warm best wishes – basically, a whole collection of ways to tell people they matter.
Whether you prefer crafting in your pajamas with a cup of coffee or gathering friends around your dining table with snacks and laughter, the virtual format means you can celebrate exactly how you want to.
Your Invitation to Join Our Story
Registration opens September 3, 2025, and closes on October 3rd at 2:00 PM Mountain Time. Here's the beautiful part – registration is completely free, and everyone who signs up receives a special gift after the event. It's like getting a thank-you hug for being part of our crafting family!
The Handmade & Heartfelt Kit becomes available for ordering on September 3rd as well. While you don't need the kit to enjoy the presentations and techniques we'll be sharing, there's something wonderful about crafting along in real-time, creating your own versions of the projects we'll be making together.
More Than Just Cards
What we're really celebrating on World Card Making Day goes beyond the cards themselves. We're celebrating the connections we make, the joy we create, and the love we share with the world, one handmade piece at a time.
If you can't join us live, don't worry – the recorded version will be available immediately after the event ends, allowing you to still be part of our community celebration at your convenience.
With love and ink-stained fingers,
🌺 Cindy
