Fall In Love With Stampin’ Up! Rustic Harvest Suite

FALL in love with the Rustic Harvest Suite!

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. When I saw the Rustic Harvest Suite, it was love at first sight. I used many of the products from this beautiful suite to create favors and an aloha prize for my monthly stampin’ bunco!

My Paper Pumpkin

When you hear ‘Paper Pumpkin’, you may be thinking of the fun monthly kit subscription Stampin’ Up! has to offer but that’s not the Paper Pumpkin I am referring to today. It has become a tradition every Fall for me to create a pumpkin covered with designer paper to give as a prize at my Bunco Event. Below you can see the pumpkin I made a few years ago, and then the one on the right is the one I created with the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper.

How To Make Your Own Beautiful Pumpkin Decor

These pumpkins are easy to create. All you need is a pumpkin base; I used one that was a lightweight paper mache. Then, take 1” strips of Designer Paper and a lot of Mod Podge; add the Mod Podge to your pumpkin, glue on a strip of paper, and then brush Mod Podge again on the top. After adhering all of the strips of paper and smoothing them out as much as possible, I let it dry. Once dry I sealed it with a clear coat of Mod Podge spray. I finished the pumpkin by hot gluing some fall leaves and acorns to the top.

This year’s recipient of the paper pumpkin was Derelyn. It thrilled me to see how happy she was to have won this fun aloha prize!

Although there is only one person who goes home with the aloha prize, everyone who attends gets a favor and a treat. This months favor was a hand stamped note card.

The leaf featured on this card is from our new Leaf Labels and Amber Gems Combo pack. I colored the leaf with some Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers). Then, I textured it by running it through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I took a spritzer bottle, filled with alcohol and a few drops of Cherry Cobbler Ink. Spritzing it gave it even more texture and color to make it the perfect focal point for this card.

Everyone went home with a homemade treat. It was my first time creating a Harvest Mix using Chex cereal. It was quick and simple to make and made my house smell so good. After the mix was baked and cooled, I placed it in cello bags and added a bag topper using products from the Rustic Harvest suite.
