Nothing’s Better Than…CHOCOLATE!
A Chocolate Farm Tour Adventure
Can you imagine a day without chocolate? In today’s post, I want to share a handmade card that I created with the ‘Nothing’s Better Than’ stamp set. I created this card as a Thank You for the amazing time I had visiting the Hawaiian Crown Farm and Chocolate Shop in Hilo!
At the beginning of the month, I flew over to Hilo with my friend Zeny. It was a last-minute, unplanned getaway which is one of the perks of living in Hawaii. In less than an hour, you can hop over to another island where fun, adventure, beauty and unique experiences await you!
We had a list of places we wanted to go to during our short visit to Hilo. However, we also wanted to look for opportunities to try something new. We chose to visit the Hawaiian Crown Farm to go on the Chocolate Farm Tour.
Cacao Anyone?
The tour takes place in two locations. It begins on the farm overlooking beautiful Hilo Bay. We walked through cacao, apple, and banana orchards and had the opportunity to touch and taste Hawaiian-grown cacao.
Our tour guide, Jahnavi, led us through the farm teaching us about the various plants growing there. She also let us taste this special Hawaiian-grown cacao.
We learned about the cacao’s life cycle, harvest, fermentation, drying, and flavor creation.
It was wonderful to see how passionate everyone at Hawaiian Crown was about creating premier chocolate products.
The highlight of the tour was going back to the shop in Hilo Town and having the opportunity to sample a variety of flavors. Before the photo below was taken, they had a lot more chocolate on the shelves! Our tour group was so amazed by the delicious products that many of us purchased our favorite flavors.

They put a lot of love into what they do at Hawaiian Crown! I’m really glad we went there and hope that they will like the chocolate themed thank you card that I created with them in mind.
This handmade card is perfect for them because it says, “a day without chocolate is like ummmm…. I have no idea!”
I used Laura’s Tape Technique on the Early Espresso Card Stock to die cut word “Chocolate” using the Love You More Than Dies.
I used the Nothing’s Better than Stamp Set to create the stamped images. This stamp set gives you the opportunity to personalize cards not just for chocolate lovers but also for those who love cookies, cocktails, and coffee!
Zeny and I had a great time visiting Hawaiian Crown. Before we left the shop and headed to our next adventure we ordered one of their Acai Bowls.
It was drizzled with Hawaiian Crown chocolate of course!!
