How To Make A Birthday Card for A Sweet Celebration!

A couple of months ago we celebrated our Granddaughter’s first birthday party in a very creative way. I want to show you how to make a birthday card for your own sweet & memorable occasion!

Since large indoor gatherings were not allowed due to the pandemic, we had an outdoor Farmer’s Market party that was so much fun.

I can’t wait to share a few of my favorite pictures from the party as well as the sweet strawberry birthday card I created for the occasion.

Guests were welcomed to the party by this fun photo op. There was a vintage truck filled with buckets of flowers and the door was decorated with a photo of the birthday girl. Guests received a shopping bag and then they walked through several market booths where they could enjoy tropical lemonade, a baby bento, popcorn, ice cream, and the most adorable cookies by Cindy Ontai of Zoe, Hawaii. Of course, the cookies matched the birthday card I made.

The card was created with the ‘Sweet Strawberry’ stamp set and ‘Strawbery builder’ punch. The stamp set is on our retired list and will only be available while supplies last.

One of my favorite booths at the market was the Sage Creamery booth. They served cups of their delicious ice cream as well as mint mojito iced coffee. If you haven’t tried their ice cream before, you are missing out. It’s simply the best and the owners of the company are just wonderful!! You can find them at several Farmer’s Markets on Oahu and they also sell their products at Diamond Head Bakery! You can check out their website and see how you can support this amazing local business: Sage Creamery Website.

I love collaborating with Cindy Ontai of Zoe, Hawaii. The cookie baskets she made were incredible. Each family who came to the party got to take one home. It was fun to see people’s faces light up when they saw these beautiful cookie baskets filled with an assortment of individually wrapped fruit shaped cookies. Check out the tiny blueberry cookies…. So Stinkin’ CUTE!!!

Here is the fun ‘Baby’s first bento’ box that was lovingly packed by Laney’s Aunties and her Grandma Renette. The boxes were filled with rice, cut-up spam, edamame, and a heart-shaped chicken nugget— just perfect for the birthday girl who was born on Valentine’s Day.

I am so thankful that this event turned out to be so wonderful.

The birthday girl seemed to enjoy every moment and it blessed my heart to see her surrounded by so much love on her special day!
