Craft Masking Paper Magic! Learn How To Make a Hula Girl Greeting Card

I made a new tropical-themed card with some craft masking paper magic and today I’ll teach YOU how to make this fun greeting card.

The craft masking paper has many uses; for this Hula Girl, I’ll show you how to use this paper to create a mask in a way that allows you to get super creative with your hand-stamped images.

This sweet little hula girl was created using the new ‘By My Side’ stamp set. This set is SO ME!! It is probably my most favorite set in the new catalog.

See how, in the image below, the little girl image has a design on her dress and a bird in her hands? Wondering what happened to those on the card I made? That’s where the craft mask paper comes into play!

With the use of a tiny bit of craft masking paper, you can magically “erase” the unwanted area on images! Here is a close-up of this sweet little hula girl.

What do you think of this craft masking paper? Can you think of other stamp sets you want to use it on? I’d love for you to share your thoughts!

This week my “son-in-love” celebrated his birthday. He is a surfer so I used the ‘He’s All That’ Stamp Set to make his Birthday card.

See the classic car image on the birthday stamp? I wanted to have his card feature the van with a surfboard on top. Craft masking paper to the rescue again! I used the paper the same way I did on the hula card.

Tropical Hideaway background stamp + Fern Embossing Folder for a subtle leafy print on the lower part of this card.

I was really pleased with how both of these cards came out! If you haven’t tried working with craft masking paper yet, I highly recommend it. I have seen so many cool things people have done with it and I feel like I’ve only just begun trying out different ways to use this fantastic new product.

Hope you all have a happy and blessed day!

With Aloha,
Cindy
