Why I Made A Special Handmade Birthday Card For My Friend

Today I want to share with you a handmade birthday card I created for my friend Lynn. It was her birthday yesterday and I am missing her so much since she moved to Washington State a few years ago. I designed Lynn’s card using a bunch of brand new Stampin’ Up! products, including the stamp set called Hello Beautiful. What an appropriate name since Lynn is sooo beautiful inside and out. Lynn is a very special one-of-a-kind person whom I feel very blessed to call my sister and friend.

Handmade Birthday Card For A Friend Using ‘Hello Beautiful’ Stamp Set

There are a lot of new Stampin’ Up! products on Lynn’s card. The sentiment comes from the ‘Slim Sayings’ stamp set. The colorful abstract images come from the ‘Hello, Beautiful ‘stamp set and I stamped the envelope and inside with images from a Sale-A-Bration set called ‘Special Moments’.

Did you notice there is only 1 red flower on this card? That was created because Lynn once mentioned how she likes to add just a “pop” of red to things. The ‘Hello Beautiful’ stamp set has abstract flower images that made it easy for me to add that specific “pop” of red, just like I know Lynn would love.

Iridescent Jewel Rhinestones & Mother Of Pearl Specialty Paper. Perfect for a handmade birthday card, don’t you think?!

If you take a close look at the card you can see 3 more brand-new products that I really love. The Iridescent Jewel Rhinestones and the Mother Of Pearl Specialty Paper are INCREDIBLY beautiful and soooo sparkly. The Embossing Folder I used on this card is also new, it’s from a set called ‘Stripes and Splatters’. I used the Splatter 3D folder and I think it’s so FUN.

I finished off this birthday card with a sentiment on the inside, one more pop of red, and a special photo memory that I know will make Lynn smile.

I had fun making this card and getting to use a variety of the newest Stampin’ Up! products. Want to learn how to create this handmade birthday card for a friend? Watch the video tutorial.

Happy Birthday to my sweet, special, one-of-a-kind friend, Lynn. I hope that your special day was filled with happiness, joy, laughter, and the knowledge of how loved you are.

With Love and Birthday Blessings,

Cindy
