The Adventure Begins
An adventure begins every time I open a new Paper Pumpkin Kit. Opening up a new kit is always a fun surprise! I usually view the contents with creativity in mind, looking for ways to alter the project designs to make them my own.
When I opened the July 2021 The Adventure Begins kit, I was amazed by how unique and beautiful the card bases were. I found myself in new territory because I really didn’t want to alter the cards! I just couldn’t imagine cutting apart any of the beautiful kit contents.
Since I’ve commited to sharing monthly alternative projects at my Paper Pumpkin Procrastinators Parties, I decided to embrace an adventurous spirit and dive into making a few alternative cards.
Of the 3 card designs, I made the biggest alterations to the card with the lantern and the card with the camper.
Below you can see some of the ways I altered the lantern card. The card at the bottom shows the card as it was supposed to be stamped.

The Daffodil Delight card shows an over stamping technique.
I tried this technique in a variety of colors. In the photo below, you can see how it looks using Midnight Muse Ink. It kind of reminds me of camouflage.

I had the most fun altering the card with the little camper on it. I knew right away that I wanted to find a way to make that little camper move!!
The first card I made used the colorful card base.
The Adventure Begins Moving Magnet Slider Card
When you pull the little green tab, the camper slides right off the card and jumps onto the strip.
I thought the little strip was kind of small so I reworked this card and put a moving camper on a mini slim card.

When you pull the white tab, the camper slides all the way across the road and jumps onto another road. Of the two samples, I prefer this one.
The pictures are fun but if you really want to get the full effect of this card you have to watch the video and see how I made the camper move.
