My Cancer Testimony - I Believe In Miracles.

Have you ever had an experience that you know was an absolute miracle?

That happened to me several times during my two battles with cancer.

Before my first diagnosis, I got a phone call from a woman at the hospital prompting me to go and get a mammogram. I had gotten calls like that in the past and had often ignored them. This time the call was different. The persistence in the voice I heard prompted me to agree to schedule my mammogram for the next day. It was on that day that I went from being someone who was rarely sick to someone who discovered they had early-stage breast cancer. Because I love to use cards to show my appreciation, I wanted to make a card to bless the person who called me and saved my life.

After many phone calls, visiting the hospital and extensive research I was told that the person who called me didn’t exist. Even though the hospital has records, there was no record of the call to me. Do you see now why I believe in miracles?

Two years after my breast cancer battle, I developed a mystery illness. I was in such bad shape that I was beginning to think I wouldn’t be alive much longer. After several months of tests and procedures, the mystery illness was diagnosed as stage 4 Lymphoma. Even though this season was extremely challenging I was able to experience peace because of my relationship with Jesus. I knew that the best place for my life to be was in His hands. He surrounded me with such a loving support system, he showed up in miraculous ways and demonstrated over and over again that I was not alone.

Although the challenges were difficult I am grateful for them as they have helped me to grow in my faith and appreciate life more. These challenges also helped me to be more grateful for the blessings in my life and increased my desire to support and encourage others, especially those who are facing a similar battle.

Do you know of someone battling cancer today? Do you know of anyone who is discouraged or feeling alone? My team and I would love to pray for them. If you would like to submit a prayer request for someone who is walking through a difficult season, you can do so by clicking the button below.

One of the resources that really helped me during my cancer battle was a book called, ‘Praying Through Cancer’ by Susan Sorensen and Laura Geist. I highly recommend this book for someone who is battling cancer. It encouraged me so much. You can purchase this book on Amazon.
