Swapping and Sharing

Swapping is a fun way to share ideas.  You design one card to fit a certain theme and then you duplicate it a set amount of times.   At our Spring Sensation Stamp camp we had a Spring card swap.

When it was time to swap, everyone lined up in a big circle.

Then you walk from person to person swapping cards with them.

It's kind of like trick or treating but without the tricks!  I think receiving a bag full of hand stamped cards is definitly a treat!

There were so many beautiful swaps.  Here's a bunch from my bag.  Our theme was spring cards for any occasion.  I love having all these wonderful samples to inspire me.

Glenda's card has a wonderful message on it.  A scripture from I Thessalonians 5:17 that reminds us the importance of giving thanks always.  This was also a fun fold card.

This is what it looks like when you open it up.  I love how she made the inside just as beautiful as the outside.

My favorite card in the swap was this beauty made by Robyn.

I loved how she used her simply score board to made an embossed back ground.  I love the tropical flowers and leaves made from the Botanical Framelits.  I love the way she sponged the texture and added a tiny drop of dazzling detail to make this card sparkle.  I also love that the sentiment on this card celebrates the gift of friendship.  Love, love, love, love it, could you tell?  I would definitely give this card to a wonderful friend.

Well as you can see if you participated in the swap at camp, you were blessed to receive some really beautiful cards.  I hope that everyone who joined our Spring Swap and Drop enjoyed these fabulous swap cards as much as I did.

Hope you have enjoyed Spring Sensation week so far.  I know I've shared a lot about this event but there is STILL more to come, so stay tuned.

Big On Birthdays

I have been busy these past few days preparing for our Birthday Bash Stamp Camp which is exactly one week from today in Manoa Valley at Paradise Park.  One of the things we will be doing at the camp is having a Birthday themed card swap.

For my Swap I chose the set, Big On Birthdays because I love all the large Birthday sentiment stamps that come in this new set.

My first draft was this card below.  It is bright and colorful and defiantly appropriate for a birthday card but I decided to soften it up a bit and choose colors that are a little more my style.

So I recreated the exact card but using a different color combination of Blush Blossom, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight.

I love this combination and decided to duplicate it 40 times for my swap.  I used the Festive Textured Impressions folder on the Blush Blossom piece to create a fun background that would look like party streamers.  The sentiment was stamped in black and then highlighted with three different stamps from the Happy Celebrations stamp set.  I am so glad I invested in the Happy Celebrations set and know it will get plenty of use, it already has.

I adorned each swap with a jewel rhinestone and packed them in cello bags and now they are all ready for me to take to the camp and swap with the other swap participants.

I have been having a great time creating projects for my upcoming classes and events with products from our new Occasions catalog and I look forward to sharing them all with you very soon.

Until then, have a happy and blessed day!
