Tutti Fruitti Note Cards

At the beginning of March I received this adorable card from my friend demonstrator Cheryl Hamilton.

Cheryl's card was so cute that I decided to copy it and make it a part of my monthly stack class.

Since my class was going to feature Whisper White Note Cards, I adjusted the card stock to fit  note card size.

I love this Pineapple Designer Paper!  It is a part of the Tutti Frutti Designer Series Paper pack which is a 6 x 6 pack of Designer Paper.  This paper is so beautiful, I love all the juicy fruit!  I also love that the opposite side of the fruit design has some really great colorful patterns!

It was fun using this paper to create a whole stack of Tutti Frutti note cards.

Sometimes prepping and designing can take a long time.  However once I created the first card, I copied the template and used it on all the cards.

Each of these cards has the same exact measurements.  This is my 2 x 3 formula.

Background Card Stock -  3 1/4 x 4 3/4

Designer Series Paper on Bottom -  2 x 3

Focal Point -  2 x 3

Focal Point Background (raised with dimensionals) -  2 1/4 x 3 1/4

This formula is great when working with a 6 x 6 paper pack because when you cut the designer paper at 2 x 3 inches you don't have any waste.

Let's take a closer look at the cards.

This card featured not only the Tutti Frutti Designer Series paper but also the coordinating Fruit Basket stamp set.  I love these cute strawberries, they look good enough to eat.

The next card featured products from our Bubble Over Photopolymer Bundle.

When I die cut the bottle, I used Daffodil Delight Card Stock and Vellum Card Stock to give the bottle a glassy look.  I put the adorable detailed straw in between the layers and secured it with a glue dot that is hidden behind the stamped label.

The final card featured this cute bunny from the We Must Celebrate stamp set.  The words "You are the Sweetest" from the Fruit Basket Stamp set are perfect for this Sweet Bunny card.

I was really pleased with how everything came together for this class.  Everyone seemed to have a really great time including my friend demonstrator Natalie Travis was visiting from the mainland.  I'm so glad she looked me up and came over to stamp with me.

The day after class I got a call from my friend Trisha who asked if her kids could come over to make some cards for their Grandparents.  I asked Trisha if her kids would like to create one of the cards I had made for this class.  The timing was perfect because I discovered that Noah loves Pandas.

And Omi loves Bunnies!

Omi was so precious when she was making her cards, she couldn't WAIT to put the flower with the rhinestone on her card.  It was obvious that this adorable girly-girl loves sparkles.  Her Mom told me her favorite color is gold!

Omi loves rhinestones!

I thought it was wonderful that Trisha provided an opportunity for her children to do something artistic and creative during their Spring Break.  It was a Win-Win situation for me cause It provided me with an opportunity to see my friend Trisha!

Noah is so artistic!

It touched my heart to see how Noah and Omi carefully wrote notes and drew pictures to put in the cards they created as "thank you's" for their Grandparents!

What great examples these two cutie pies are in the importance of expressing gratitude and spreading a little ALOHA, one stamp at a time.

Thank you Cheryl for the suprise stamped blessing.

Thank you Stampin' Up! for the amazing Tutti Frutti paper!

Thank you Trisha, Noah and Omi for showing us all what it means to inspire, create and share!

Thanks A Bunch

Tonight I am getting ready to host an Ohana group for our worship team.

Portuguese bean soup is simmering on my stove, the chairs are all set up and I am excited for another opportunity to be together with the amazing brothers and sisters I serve with on our New Hope Leeward Worship Team.

This is a bunch of us last week right after our Ohana group all crammed in my kitchen.

At this particular gathering this sweet girl, Kileigh (pictured in the front) shared a lot about her life and I discovered that she and I had a lot in common.  I learned that she loves bunnies and even has a pet bunny at home.  That's one of the benefits of our getting together, it provides an opportunity for us to get to know each other better outside of our weekly rehearsals.

So with my feelings of thankfulness for these people in my mind and in honor of Kileigh's love of bunnies I decided to share a Basket Bunch Bunny Thank you card today.

Basket Bunch Bunny Thank You Card - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Basket Bunch Bunny Thank You Card - www.stampedwithaloha.com

This card was created with our Basket Bunch stamp set.  It is an Easter themed set but I love that you can do so much more with it such as create a cute Spring thank you card.  The back ground of this card uses a striped piece of our Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper.  The focal point and greeting bases were made with punches.  I made this card for a swap last week and liked it so much I decided to use it in my stamp a stack class that is coming up at the end of this month.

Basket Bunch Bunny Thank You Card - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Since I need to prepare a large amount of kits for my class, using back ground paper was going to be challenging because I had a limited amount in stock.  So I changed the back ground to a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock that was run through the Big Shot with the Festive Textured Embossing folder.  I think it looks just as cute, don't you?  I also added a stitched framelit circle because I will be featuring this amazing set of framelits at my class this month.

I think either way this is a really simple and cute way to use the Basket Bunch set year round to make cute thank you cards.

Have you purchased this set yet?  Its not too late, it will be available until the end of May.  I'm so glad I have it because I really need to make some more projects with this adorable bunny!

Thanks a bunch for stopping by my blog today.  Please know that of all the things I'm thankful to the Lord for, you are one of them!

Have a blessed day!

Cookie Cutter Creations

Tuesday night was my monthly Inspiration Night and I was really excited to share some fun Cookie Cutter Christmas Creations with all who attended.  The unique thing about this class is that I showed how to take a holiday stamp set and use it to create cards for other occasions!  I also paired Cookie Cutter Christmas with Suite Sayings so that only two stamp sets were used to create all of these cards with the exception of one additional stamp from Jolly Friends but I'll tell you about that in a minute.  Another common element of these cards is that they all use Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper and they are also all embellished with various sizes of pearls.

For now, let's take a closer look at this fun boxed set of note cards.

The box itself is made of one of our clear mount stamp cases.  These cases are perfect for holding note card sized cards.  The layered circle on the front is from the Circles Collection framelits.  I love that this collection has both scallop circles and plain circles.  Layering the circles, as shown below,  makes a perfect background area for the focal point of a project,

Cookie Cutter Christmas Card Case - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Our first card was a birthday card with the same "pig tail" design that I shared about in my last post.  You can create pig tails by stamping the gingerbread man twice and then on one of them cutting the arm pieces and attaching them to the head with glue dots.  Two pearl buttons were added for dimension and texture.

The next card is a baby card.  Isn't this bear sweet?

Cookie Cutter Christmas Baby Card - www.stampedwithaloha.com

When you create the bear you have to stamp the ears first and then the bear on a separate piece of card stock that gets punched out with the coordinating punch and layered over the top where you align it with the stamped ears.

The next card is one of my favorites.  When I was designing it I had a Tom Cruise movie playing in my stamp room.  In the movie Tom was wearing sunglasses and looking sharp.  Suddenly, I was inspired to put sun glasses  and a black tie on this gingerbread man so I drew some glasses with a sharpie pen.  However, just prior to hosting this class I received the stamp set Jolly Friends and I realized that the glasses in that set are the PERFECT fit for this guy so that is how I added an additional stamp set to this class.   Thanks to Tom for being my inspiration for this hand stamped creation!

Doesn't he look handsome and successful with his black tie and cool glasses?  These ladies at Inspiration Night certainly thought so.

I saved the BEST for last.  This punch art creation has been in my stamp room for weeks but I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use it on a card.   This card was definitely the most work but also the one that everyone got the most excited about as you can see below.

I just love this sweet mermaid.  She is made of punches.  Here is what you need.

The body, hair, bangs and mouth - Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.  The hair and small flower - Tree Builder Punch.  The tail - Jolly Hat Builder Punch.  The end of the tail and shells - Holly Berry Punch.  The Large Flower - Blossom Builder Punch.

The Fabulous Foil Acetate is perfect for this card but it can be challenging to punch it out so either trace and cut it with scissors or if you want to punch it here are some tips.  First, remove the thin layer that covers the acetate.  Place a piece of copy  paper over and under the acetate before punching it to strengthen it and avoid getting it stuck in the punch.

Everyone's card came out a little bit different.  The way people angled the hair or placed the pearls all gave each Mermaid a different personality.

I loved seeing all these beautiful Mermaids come to life and loved even more watching how great of a time everyone had as they created this card.

I think the two who had the most fun where these two ladies below, Terry and Lori.

Lori took off her jacket and placed it on Terry's head to resemble the long red hair of the Mermaid that we all know she is at heart.  I think the photo and caption below, says it all!

In addition to making these fabulous projects the ladies all swapped some amazing Cookie Cutter Christmas swaps.  I don't normally host a swap that features a single stamp set but everyone in my group purchased this set because they loved it, so it was the perfect time to host an swap themed after a stamp set.

Everyone made such beautiful cards and watching them share them with one another was wonderful.

Of course we were also spoiled by Chef Craig's delicious dinner.  Tonight we had curry stew, rice and salad.  Craig takes such amazing care of us every month as he blesses us with his God given talent for preparing food that is created and served with aloha.

It is always so much fun to gather for my monthly Inspiration Night.  I love my Stamped With Aloha sisters who are so much fun to spend time with, even the "kolohe" (rascal) ones pictured below.

It was great to see all the smiling faces and know our time together was filled with inspiration, creativity, encouragement, fun and lots of aloha amongst us stamping sisters and friends.

Fruit Stand Fun

Last week was my monthly Inspiration Night and we had a FUN and fabulous time creating this boxed set of note cards that featured the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper and the Scenic Sayings Stamp Set.

Fruit Stand DSP/Scenic Sayings Note Card Set - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Fruit Stand DSP/Scenic Sayings Note Card Set - www.stampedwithaloha.com

The Scenic Sayings stamp set has 6 stamps in it and I found a way to incorporate every single stamp in the set to create this boxed set of cards.

Fruit Stand Box for note card set - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Fruit Stand Box for note card set - www.stampedwithaloha.com

The Box was made from one of our full sized wood mount stamp cases.  I used the pear design from the Fruit Stand Designer Paper on the front of this box that is layered on top of Old Olive, Silver Foil and Crumb Cake Card Stock.

A great way to show off a beautiful set of matching note cards is in our plastic stamp cases.  This makes a wonderful gift item and something you can work on now for the upcoming holiday season.

Scenic Sayings Friendship card - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Scenic Sayings Friendship card - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Card one is a friendship card.  The leaves on this card were made with our Festive Flower builder punch.  I punched out the piece that looks like two petals that are connected together and then I simply folded them so that both layers would show and secured them with a glue dot.  Looks like I used two punches but it was only one punch, folded in half.  The double flower was made with our Petite petals punch and the smallest flower from our Blossom punch.  I liked this combination so much that I put these same flowers another card in this set.

Let's take a look at it...

The bright colors of this card combined with the fun sentiment make for a really happy card.  The next time life gives you lemons, why not take out a piece of this DSP and make a cheerful card that is sure not to only brighten your day but the day of whomever you give it too and that will certainly make you happy!

The next card is a soft and pretty Congratulations card.  It features three punches that I layered together.  Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly and the Tree Builder punch.  It also shows our new Layering Oval framelits that serve as the base for the greeting.
