Easter Inspiration

I am sitting here awaiting the start of my monthly Bunco game.  In just an hour or so people will begin to arrive and my house will be filled with lots of laughter, smiles and delicious food to share.  This monthly event is something I really look forward to.

Every time we gather I create a hand stamped favor for everyone who comes.  I also create an Aloha Prize that one person will win and take home.  Our theme for March was Easter and I featured a couple of different styles of Easter projects.

First, for the Aloha Prize, I made a piece of  framed art.

Recently, I came across a photo online of an Easter frame created by demonstrator Eimear Carvill of the UK.  I thought Eimear's project was so beautiful and creative.

I loved how Eimear used the cross from our new Hold On To Hope stamp set as the letter "T" of the word Easter.  Here is my version of Eimear's Easter Frame.

It would be fun to give this frame as a gift and add seasonal pages that could be switched out for different holidays or seasons.  I am very grateful to Eimear for the inspiration!

For the favor I went with an "oldie but goodie" idea when I created this simple mini Easter Basket.

Our new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions folder is PERFECT for this little basket project.  This project also features this cute bunny from our We Must Celebrate stamp set that is punched out with one of our new scallop punches.

The back of the basket featured the sentiment, "Happy Easter" which comes from the stamp set Sweet Little Something.

Everyone will be here soon so I just finished setting up this fun display using my favorite Pampered Chef three tiered stand.

Before I go, I wanted to remind you that Easter Sunday will be here soon, it's on April 1st this year.

Easter is a special time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  So wherever you may be I hope you will find a church to attend where you can celebrate with loved ones and hear an encouraging message of God's love and the Hope we have in Christ.

If you are looking for a place to celebrate Easter on Oahu, here is the information of the dates and times of services at my church, New Hope Leeward.

It is going to be a wonderful celebration service and I think you would be blessed if you attend.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Spread Aloha

Aloha is more than just my favorite word.  It is more than just a greeting or a farewell.  To me Aloha is a way of life.

One of the reasons why I love my job so much is that I get to create projects that will be used to bless others.  Birthday cards, Thinking of You cards, Friendship cards, Encouragement cards, Hostess gifts, Memory Albums, Home decor, all created with others in mind.

When I teach others to create cards or other projects there is joy in watching people discover creativity they never even knew they had!  I am also blessed to see new friendships form as people enjoy each others company while crafting.  I also love inspiring others and feel so happy when I know people enjoy my classes and the projects I designed for them.

Each month my group, Stamped With Aloha gathers for a night of inspiration, creativity, fellowship and fun.  My group motto is "spreading aloha one stamp at a time".  So I designed a project that each attendee could make to help them remember our mission, to simply spread aloha wherever we go.

Since we weren't making several projects I set up the room differently.  I made one long table, banquet style where we could all sit together.  First to visit and eat dinner and then to work on our project.

Here is the frame we created.  The word Aloha was created with the Large Letters Framelit Dies and the flowers were made with the Botanical Framelits.  Sadly these flowers are on the discontinued list this year and that makes me sad because they are one of my favorites!  Even though I won't be able to sell them, I plan on keeping them as they remind me of home here in Hawaii where I am surrounded by such beautiful tropical foliage.

The word "spread" came from our Labeler Alphabet.  I love this set so much I actually bought two sets.  With the Labeler Alphabet set you can custom create all kinds of words and expressions to personalize your projects.

Since I only had one sample of this frame I came up with a fun idea!  I had everyone take a photo of the project with their phone when they came in the door.  I don't know why I didn't think of this before.  That way everyone had a full color sample they could use as a reference right in front of them.

Our night together ended a little earlier than normal because this project was so quick and simple.  I guess it helped that I had die cut all the pieces for everyone beforehand.  I told everyone I should have called this month's gathering "Inspiration Night Express".

As you can see. we all had a really fun night of sharing and creativity.

Roxanne blessed us by bringing a special broken glass jello dessert for all of us to enjoy!  I love her heart of aloha!

I so love my Stampin' Ohana!

I hope they all had fun making these frames and that when they look at them they will be inspired to carry out the message of truly spreading aloha everywhere they go.

Ephesians 4:2 says, Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!  Have a happy and blessed weekend!

July Stamp A Stack

This past weekend was my monthly Stamp A Stack.  It's one of my card classes that I always look forward to.  It is fun to see my customers and downline who attend so faithfully as well as to meet new friends who come to join the fun.

Here are the cards we created at this months class.

I featured two stamp sets at this month's stamp a stack that were designed by two Million Dollar Achiever demonstrators.  This first card featured a stamp set designed by Angie Juda and features her adorable dog Bella.  The set is approriately named, Bella and Friends.

This is a super simple card and I think super cute too.  I had many guests comment on how sweet Bella was and even one who said she had a similar looking puppy named Bella too.

The next cards stamp set called, "One Wild Ride" was designed by Million Dollar Acheiver Dawn Griffith.   If you came to our May retreat last year you will remember Dawn and Rich were a huge part of making is such a success!  Dawn and Rich are two of my most favorite people who truly have hearts of gold. I was so blessed to spend time with them where we made so many wonderful memories to last a lifetime!

I think its so cool that the artists at Stampin' Up! designed this stamp by looking at a photo of Rich's actual motorcycle!

This is a great stamp set for creating masculine cards or even an all occasion card for your adventurous friends.

I am in LOVE with our new Large Letter Framelits.  I featured them this month along with our Timeless Textures stamp set to create this simple and elegant monogram card.  Everyone had the opportunity to choose their own monogram when they created this card.

I choose a "T" to demonstrate at my Saturday class and shared that if you didn't want to make a monogram card you could easily convert it into a Thank You card.  On Sunday I demoed a "P" monogram and Pam who attended that class was thrilled thinking that I had custom made these cards with her in mind cause her initials are PT.

It couldn't have worked out more perfectly if I had planned it myself and just look at this cute picture I got of Pam with the perfect initial monogram cards.

Our final card was done by request, a Christmas card.  It was this card that got the biggest WOW at both classes.  It wasn't because of the card itself but because of the new product I showed on this card, a product that is just FABULOUS!!!  The minute I showed it to my friends at both classes, they reacted with a big "WOW" something that demonstrators get really encouraged about when they hear it.  My Saturday class was SO cute I told them, "wait, I need to capture this moment, can you please do what you just did again, so I can get a picture" and this was the result.

I LOVE cheers of joy from Happy Stampers who are excited about our newest products!

Well here is the card that features the new FABULOUS foil acetate.  I'm not just saying the word fabulous because that is what I think about it but it literally is called FABULOUS FOIL.

This product is one of those that is hard to appreciate its beauty unless you see it in person.  It is so lovely and the thing I like best is one side is gold and the other side silver.  I attached it to the red card stock using two glue dots that I strategically placed under the pattern to avoid being noticeable.

This set, Peace This Christmas is available now as well as this beautiful Holly embossing folder.   This card would be a simple card to start working on now so that you'll be ahead of the game this Holiday Season.

I LOVED the Fabulous foil acetate so much that I created two birthday cards with it that I will feature on my blog this week and at the end of the week I will be giving away a 6 x 6 sampler pack of this beautiful paper by way of a blog candy drawing.  To enter just make a comment on this post or any of the next two birthday posts that will feature this beautiful product.

To comment on my blog scroll past the section at the bottom of my posts that show the product used and click on the word "comment".  I will draw a name from all the comments received this week on this post or any comments on my next two birthday card posts and will choose a winner to receive the acetate at the end of the week.

Thank you for stopping by to hear about my July Stamp A Stack class.  I hope you liked the projects and were inspired to get out your stamps and create some beautiful projects of your own this week.

Until next time, Happy Stampin'
