Retreat Make and Takes (Favors)

Making gifts and party favors is one of my favorite things to do.  I really love how these two favors turned out and I received so much positive feedback from our retreat guests.  Many told me that they would use these ideas for their co-workers, neighbors and friends this Christmas.  That made me feel very happy to know that people liked these ideas enough to reproduce them.  Mission accomplished!

Here's a closer look.

This project is designed to look like the North Pole.  In fact we had a label on the top of it that said just that!  The black topper is made out of a little plastic solo brand sauce container that I bought at a local container store.  The pringles can is wrapped with our Home for Christmas DSP which is the same DSP that the cute hungry Santa who is craving a salty snack came from.

I think of all our projects, this was my most favorite.  First of all you may not be able to tell from the photo but this is a mini can of sprite, so its super small and cute.  This idea could easily be reproduced on a larger scale with a larger can or even on a tall liter sized bottle.  However, this tiny can is so adorable and it seems like the right fit for the very precious reindeer cut from the Home for Christmas DSP.

I hope that as you prepare for the upcoming Holiday Season that you will find these simple and fun ideas useful and inspiring.

Don't Miss Our Holiday Retreat!

Our annual holiday retreat is just 4 days away.  I am so excited as this will be our first retreat in a new location at the fabulous Waikiki Marriott Resort and Spa.

I met with our demonstrator presenters yesterday, Roanna and Lori, and if you are coming you are in for a real treat because they will be sharing some amazing projects that I KNOW you will love and that will be great resources for your holiday hand crafted gifts, cards and favors this year.

Here's a tag that I created that will be a small part of my demonstration.  This tag actually has a surprise underneath the gold doily.   This surprise layout is something I learned from demonstrator Missy Shipman who I recently participated in private card swap with.  I can't wait to show you the Christmas card that Missy created that inspired my presentation this year.  I will show you a few projects that I used the doily technique and hope you will fall in love with this fun and creative way to use our gold and silver doilies.

In addition to watching amazing live demonstrations you will get to create 7 make and takes that are simple yet wonderful ideas for you to reproduce for your holiday cards, favors and gifts.  There will also be a delicious buffet lunch, huge retired stamp sale, prizes, swapping and best of all we will be helping to support the Hope Lodge here in Honolulu which makes doing events like this truly worthwhile where we can come together to make a difference!!!  This is an event you won't want to miss.  It's not too late to sign up.  Please come and join us!  We are going to have a wonderful time and it would be even better if YOU would attend.
