Last week the noise level went up in my home as people gathered to attend a Birthday Themed Bunco.
I was so excited to share our newest products with everyone and since there are so many wonderful new birthday goodies I decided that I would share some of my new favorites.
The items I chose to focus on was Balloon Adventures stamp set and the Balloon Pop Up Thinlits dies which are one of the first products you come to on page 5 of our new Occasions catalog..
I created two projects that had belly bands, a box and a gift card holder.
Don't tell my Green Bay Packer loving stamping friends but I chose these colors Pacific Point and Emerald Envy in honor of my favorite football team, the Seattle Seahawks!!! But that can be our little secret!
Actually since it was a birthday theme, I thought I better make a variety of bright colors, so I used this combination of Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango too.
The DSP (designer series paper) used on both of these projects is called Party Animal.
Would you like to know how to make this cute holder?
Take a piece of card stock that is cut at 3 x 11. Score it at 1/2 inch, 4 inches and 7 1/2 inches. Fold up the 1/2 inch part and secure with two glue dots on the edges to leave room to hold a gift card. Then fold it up and wrap a belly band around it with sentiment of your choice. You can make the belly band as wide as you need it to be, mine was one inch.
Here is a look at the inside of the project after you take the belly band off.
I love this stamp that says, "open me already", what a fun and sassy message for to the anxious recipient who wants to know what is inside!
This photo show the 1/2 inch flap and the Happy Birthday sentiment. It also shows how I used this awesome new bow thinlit from the Balloon Pop Up collection to create a bow that pops up when you fold it. All you have to do is use the Thinlet right below the score line and then you fold it up, it will pop up! I LOVE this new thinlit and know I will use it often.
Teresa won the Aloha prize which was three gift card holders that I tacked down to a piece of card stock and wrapped in cellophane. Teresa was so excited she won, she got up and started dancing which is why the photo of the prize and of Teresa, the Dancing Queen, is totally blurry!!!
Yes, it's true! Spontaneous dancing sometimes happens at Bunco!
So here is a little better look at the Aloha prize.
I displayed the matching favor boxes on my favorite Pampered Chef stand as I usually do. Don't they look cute and festive?
As usual there was lots of smiling faces and not just from those who won fabulous new product prizes like these two below.
But as you can see by the way Ann is cheering for Becky below, its not about winning or losing! Everyone has fun while we have good food and good fun sharing lots of aloha together. And just in case you are wondering.... Becky is dancing here too :)
Next month we've decided to start having a card swap at Bunco so that will make our Bunco Adventures even more creative and fun and that means I'll have even MORE inspiration and creativity to share with you!
Having nights like these sure make me thank God for the blessing of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! I sure LOVE what I do! Especially because doing so has brought so many wonderful people into my life.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Check back a little later this week to hear all about my Birthday Bash stamp camp that was this past Saturday. This same set was also featured at the camp so I have a bunch of fun projects that I will look forward to sharing with you soon.
Oh and by the way, if you have any questions or comments about this project or about anything you see on my blog, did you know you can scroll down past the product descriptions and comment below? I always love to hear from you! So just look for the word, "comment" and leave me a note!
Have a blessed week! Cindy
