Foxy Friends Forever

Bryan is our churches Worship Director.  He is one of the nicest young men I know and like a son to me.  He is extremely talented, super humble, kindhearted, patient and someone who really loves and appreciates FOOD.

I always wondered when he would meet someone because he lives a very busy life and doesn't have a ton of free time on his hands due to all of his musical endeavors.  I remember once when one of his friends was asked, "Does Bryan have a Girlfriend",  his friend replied, "Why, Yes he does!  Her name is MUSIC".

Well... things have SIGNIFICANTLY changed in Bryan's life recently.  At the end of June he popped the question to this wonderful girl who joined our worship ministry at church about a year ago.  Her name is Kileigh.   The more I get to know her, the more I love her.  She is joyful, sweet and fun!   Her smile lights up a room and I can totally see how Bryan fell head over heels in love with her in such a short time.

To celebrate their engagement, I wanted to make a card and also bless them with a cheesecake which is Bryan's favorite dessert.   I looked through the catalog to find a set to match this occaison and since Bryan and Kileigh are so cute and sweet together, I decided Foxy Friends would be the perfect set to use.

It was fun to see their expression when they saw the card and immediatly discussed which one was the Fox and which one was the Cat.  I told Bryan he was the Cat because its darker and if you take a closer look, the Fox is wearing a diamond ring and has rosy cheeks that I made with a Pink Pirrouette marker.  I also drew in a smile with a Project Life Journaling pen.

The Foxy Friends has a coordinating punch that you can use to create all kinds of critters.  In this sample however, I purposely didn't use the punch to show how easy it is to make some of the animals with just stamping alone.

I fussy cut the characters out with Paper Snips and used one on a card and one on the coordinating cake decor.  I was REALLY happy with how this turned out and was hopeful that Bryan and Kileigh would be blessed by the gesture.

Well, would you like to meet the Happy Couple?

 Here they are.

Aren't they cute?  And know what else?

They SUPRISED us ALL by getting MARRIED on the Fourth of July so now they are officially Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez.

It is exciting to see how God brought these two together.  I wish them nothing but the best as they begin this exciting journey as Husband and Wife.

Congratulations Bryan and Kileigh,  you will be Foxy Friends Forever!

A Little Foxy Farewell

I knew this day was coming but I was not prepared for it.  The reality of the situation had not sunk in that my dear friend Lynn whom I have been "doing life" with for the past decade was leaving the island and I was her ride to the airport.

I knew I wanted to give her a card, but I put off creating it to the very last minute.  I just couldn't bring myself to making it, it just made everything so final.  So with just a few minutes left before I had to pick her up I used some of my new products to make a simple card to say farewell.

To create this card I used the new A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack that coordinates with our new Foxy Friends stamp set.   Now that I think about it, its kind of perfect for Lynn cause she is definitely one of my Foxiest friends, the girl has never taken a bad picture in her life!!

When I arrived the tears were already flowing as she said goodbye to her amazing neighbors.  These are people I have come to know and love as we've had stamp a stack's at Lynn's house for the past three years.  See what I mean about her not taking a bad picture, you'd never know she had been crying off and on all morning.

We made lots of memories in this home over the years but its not coming to the house I will miss but the people who lived there that were such a big part of my life.  Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope".  It is those words that I hold on to as I say Aloha to Lynn and her family trusting the God has a perfect plan for them as they start a new chapter in their life.

I am grateful for this past decade and all the precious moments that we shared.  I know that side by side or miles apart, friends are forever, close to the heart.

I love you my friend, you are loved and you'll be missed.

May Inspiration Night

I returned home from the Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation yesterday and today was my monthly Inspiration Night.  I knew it would be a difficult one for me to run since I would be jet lagged, so prior to leaving I invited Jodi to help me with project designing and running the meeting.  Since our theme was critters, Jodi was the perfect choice since critter cards are kind of her specialty.

I was able to attend just the first half of the meeting.  Although severely jet lagged and a little under the weather I was happy to be there to see everyones smiling faces.  I checked everyone in, did some recognition and sharing and then turned it over to Jodi.  She did an outstanding job sharing the projects she designed.

The projects included one folder and four cards.  They all featured school house designer paper and critters created with the Playful Pals stamp set.  Everyone who attended received a sampler packet of the School House Designer Paper.

Since we were featuring School House Designer Paper I used this paper as well as some other retiring products to make my TOP TEN recognition cards.  Since the Foxy Friends was one of my pillow gifts on the cruise I was able to incorporate it into this recognition card.

Now lets take a closer look at the evenings make and take projects created by Jodi.

Card one was this cute long eared bunny thank you card.

Project two was a gift card holder that featured an owl which is Jodi's favorite critter.

This would be a great card to use when giving a gift card to a graduate.

These ladies are laughing because I took the photo before Ralene could add the pupils to her owls eyes!

The next project was a folder.

I was so glad I was able to be there to see everyones reaction to Jodi's projects.  Also,  I just missed everyone since I had been gone for awhile and was anxious to at least say hello and share a bit about my trip.

So thankful for my team

I sure love these ladies and was glad I was able to be there for at least part of the gathering tonight.  I was also very grateful to Eve and Zeny who helped me during the day to do some last minute preparations.

What a fun night!

What a fun night!

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful team that are filled with the aloha spirit.

Now time to get some rest and get caught up cause in just a few more hours our new catalog will officially be launched.   I am VERY excited cause I love the new products and can't wait to put in my first order.

I hope you enjoyed these critter projects.  Although the School House paper is discontinued the Playful Pals stamp set is still available for purchase.  I hope you were inspired by seeing how you can use this fun stamp set to make the most adorable critters.

A special thank you again to Jodi for all her hard work.  If you'd like to see more information regarding these projects check out Jodi's awesome blog, The Stamping Owl.
