Pineapple for Pam

I made another birthday card this week and rather than choose a cake stamp or something with balloons, I decided to make another Pineapple birthday greeting.  Pineapples are sweet and a symbol of hospitality and those are two things that remind me of my friend Pam, whom I created this card for.

I used 3 new stamp sets to make this card.   I combined the Pineapple Stamp, The Pop of Paradise Stamp Set and the Confetti Celebration Stamp Set.  All three of these stamp sets will be available at the beginning of June when our new catalog is released.

This card is a moving card in which the front panel folds in half so that the focal point can stand up for display.   When the pineapple is standing the hidden sentiment from the Confetti Celebration Stamp set is revealed!

Pam and I had hoped to meet for lunch but both of us had crazy schedules last week.  It was funny because we actually met on the side of the road near her home, kind of on accident. because I was lost and she spotted me.  I was glad I was able to give Pam her already belated gift and card prior to my leaving for the Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation in the Mediterranean!   I will look forward to spending time with her when I get back home.

Perhaps after lunch we should get together to stamp some more Pineapple inspired cards using all of these fabulous new products.

Sneak Peek - OnStage (part 3)

I knew that traveling to OnStage was going to be different this year.  Normally our conventions are in the summer so it was a difficult time to travel for many.  Also,  the Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation to the Mediterranean is coming soon, so that was also a factor in deciding whether or not it would be a good time to travel.  Let me just say, although the event was a little smaller and more intimate than some I've attended in the past I thought it was really well put together and I had a fabulous time from start to finish.

Meeting Chris

Meeting Chris

The Stampin' Up! staff are amazing.  They go above and beyond to help us and show us their appreciation for what we do.  On day one I was anxious to meet Chris who I speak to often on the phone when I call the home office but have never met in person.  Chris and I often chat about Hawaii cause she used to live here so it was fun to meet her face to face.

Chad was a great help!

Another fabulous staff member is Chad.  I stopped by the info booth and asked if he could answer a computer question regarding my blog.  The question was one I had asked several people but no one could help me.  However, when I asked Chad, he knew exactly how to fix my problem.  He opened his lap top and in about 3 minutes a problem I've had with my blog for months was now repaired.  I was so elated and appreciate the time he took to help me.

There were beautiful stamped projects to see.  On display boards, in swap cards I traded and even in gifts I was blessed to receive.

Raelene, one of my roommates brought me this beautiful box with the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart stamped on it.

This box even had a pull out drawer where Raelene had hidden some sweet treats.  This box was also made with my current favorite designer series paper.  What a special gift from a very special friend.

Another great moment was when our newest annual catalog was unveiled.  They passed it out in the audience and then gave us about 15 minutes to spend flipping through the pages.  It was very exciting and fun to hear all the "oohs" and "ahhs" from around the room.

Of course I was elated to find a PINEAPPLE STAMP!!!!  I can't wait to get my hands on it to make some fun creations.  Pineapples are really popular right now but they've been one of my favorite things for many years now.

This sample was one that was shown from a live presentation.  I love that this says, "Oh, Happy Day".  Thats what I say about a day when we get a pineapple stamp in our catalog.  I was really impressed with the new catalog and can't wait to share it with all of my customers.

I REALLY love our new IN - Colors.  We were able to play with them to make this fun color chart.  Going to have to use the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy to create some fun SeaHawks inspired creations.

Of course one of the main reasons I attend these events is because of the friendships I've made with so many wonderful people.   Lynsay pictured with me above is one of the kindest persons I know.  She is also a huge inspiration to me. especially in the area of health and fitness.  We talk often even though she lives far away in Canada.  I am looking forward to meeting up with her at they gym on our next incentive trip.  Its not everyday you can meet someone who you can talk about weight lifting and crafting in the same coversation.

Martha and Kim at Gourmandise

Martha and Kim at Gourmandise

It is also always a blessing to see Martha.  She is one of our team members who we miss because she now lives in the mainland.  One of our favorite places to go together is a bakery called Gourmandise.  We took Kim there and introduced her to this delicious bowl of Creme Brûlée Oatmeal.   Since we stayed in different hotels and I didn't get to spend as much time with Martha as I would have liked, so we snuck away one morning to go back to Gourmandise and have some one on one time and of course another bowl of oatmeal.

Martha has lunch with Dawn and Rich

Another couple I love meeting up with at events are Dawn and Rich.  Before I even knew Dawn well she was always so sweet and kind to me.  We had breakfast together several years ago at Founder's Circle and she gave me some great advice on how to run a blog.  She is such an encourager and oh so talented.  I love the relationship she has with Rich.  They are such a cute couple, so loving and so kind.  Rich is also quite a character.  Just look what mischeif he was up to on day one!

Rich is such a character!

Rich is such a character!

I wonder if any of the Stampin' Up! staff noticed Rich's FREE stamps offer??  Too funny!  I just love Dawn and Rich so much and am grateful for their friendship!

Friendships, love, encouragement and support are just a few of the perks of being a part of this amazing company.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to work for a company where I truly, "Love what I do and share what I Love".

Kim and Cindy at OnStage 2016

Kim and Cindy at OnStage 2016

Oh Ya, and then theres this girl too.  Kim Williams who coordinated three parties, did a live presentation, marched across the stage to be recognized for her 600,000,00 sales milestone, has a heart of gold and a bunch of sparkly jewelry to match and is one of my very best friends.  It was such a blessing to share this fun experience with her.

OnStage was truly a wonderful, memorable experience filled with my favorite people and things such as inspiration, creativity and FUN.

Our new catalog will launch on June 1st and I can't wait to share with you all the new and fun creations I will be making as well as all of the new fabulous products.  Until then, I've hope you've enjoyed learning a little bit more about my experience and seeing a few sneak peeks.

OnStage 2016 certainly didn't disappoint and I will certainly set my goals to return again.

Bloomin' Love

February is here and love it in he air!  I am starting out the month on day one hosting a session of Bloomin' Love Bunco.  The end of January was unexpectedly hectic for me so I ended up not having time to prep for Bunco until the last minute which is something I try to avoid.  So, I was so grateful for my January Paper Pumpkin kit which allowed me to assemble this adorable banner just in time for my guests to arrive.

January 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit

January 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit

I LOVE how easy it was to assemble this months kit.  It took me about 15 minutes from start to finish.  This paper pumpkin kit came with everything I needed to complete an entire Valentines banner.  I copied the kit directions except instead of using glue dots to adhere the small flags between the hearts I used my mini stapler because it was faster.

For my favor and Aloha prize I used products from our Bloomin' Love collection on pages 16 and 17 of our new Occasions Catalog.

The note pad is almost 12 inches long so there is plenty of space to write out your grocery list, "to do" list or better yet to mark down all the fun products on your wish list from our newest Stampin' Up! catalog!

Love Blossoms Long Note Pad

Love Blossoms Long Note Pad

I created the pad by taking a legal sized note pad and cutting it into thirds.  Most office supply stores have access to large cutters so cutting an entire package of pads can be done with ease.  I featured small pieces of our Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper on the front of the pad.  It's such cute paper so I wanted to feature as many different patterns as I could fit on the front of the long pad.

Valentine Hot Cocoa Favor

For the favor I filled our new Polka Dot Cone Cellophane Bags with a quarter cup of hot cocoa.  I added mini marshmallows and topped it off with red and pink sprinkles.  I added a bow and a cute tag made with the Bloomin' Love stamp set.

Here's a close up of the tag that features one of our cute little bow paper clips.  Aren't they sweet?

Speaking of sweet, I captured this precious moment of mother and daughter admiring today's favors and Aloha Prize.  Zoe's face is priceless and tells me she will really be hoping to be the recipient of today's Aloha prize.

It makes me so happy to create projects that bring joy to others!  I also love gathering with friends where we can experience fun, laughter, joy and a whole lot of Bloomin' love!
