Basket Bunch Bunco

The adorable Basket Bunch stamp set was the featured set at this month's Spring and Easter themed Bunco.  Each guest who attended both Sunday and Monday took home one of these simple speckled jellybean favors.

I LOVE this adorable bunny who just looks so sweet as the focal point of this simple candy bag topper.  These treat bags were made with our 2 x 6 cellophane bags. I cut each bag in half and used a heat sealer to seal them so I could make two treats out of every bag.

Speaking of treats!  I have to admit, it is a treat to spend time with these lovely people every month.  We laugh, we share, we play, we laugh some more.

I love the spirit of the friends who come over to join the fun.

And then there was Patti who looked so cute with her butterfly headband as she fluttered from table to table.

Our Aloha Prize this month was this cute bunny shaped box of Reese's peanut butter cups.

I just added some grass to the bottom with Cucumber Crush card stock and our fringe scissors.   I then used the Succulent Framelits to embellish the box with colorful spring flowers.

But on Sunday, it was Shelly who got to take home the special prize.  I love the smile on Jennifer's face and how happy she is for Shelly.  It's one of the things I love most about these gatherings.  All the love, support and friendship shared by all.

On Monday night during dinner, I sat and listened to this group share about the "good old days".  They spoke about restaurants on the island that they used to love to go to when they were young.  Then they spoke of their love of dancing and the places they liked to go dance for some good clean fun.

The conversation turned to music and before you know it the Average White Band's top hits played loudly and everyone was grovin' every time we switched tables.

This gave these two the opportunity to demonstrate one of their favorite dances, the Bump.

I love the times we share together.  I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to provide an atmosphere every month to share creativity where people can escape for a couple of hours of food, fellowship and fun with friends.

Happy Valentine's Day

One of my favorite things to do as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is to introduce stamping to someone for the first time who thinks they are not creative.  It is so fun to see the smile on their faces when they step out of their comfort zone and give creativity a chance.  I love to see them discover an artistic side that they never realized they had.

I was really blessed to stamp with this sweet man (pictured below) who came to his very first stamp class last week.  At the end of class I asked him if I could take a photo of him with his cards and he so proudly lined them up to display them for the photo.

Since its hard to see the details of the cards, here is a close up of one of the cards I taught him at this class.

This card created with the Sealed With Love stamp set is super simple and easy to make.  It is the perfect card for a new stamper.  The pink background stamp comes from the Happy Celebrations stamp set.

It was fun to share this quick and simple Valentine card with all the wonderful people who attended my class.

This sweet lady who attended one of my classes was a very gifted stamper, it was obvious to me she had been crafting for many years!

This wonderful stamp set, Sealed With Love with the coordinating Sending Love Paper Pack was also the featured products at my monthly Bunco games.

Here is the fun Aloha Prize that I came up with for this month's Valentine Bunco.

Who knows, maybe by doing so, one of them will change into a handsome prince?  No wonder all the ladies at Bunco were so anxious to win this prize.

For my Bunco favors this month, I got some help from the very talented Cindy Ontai of Zoe, Hawaii.  Cindy designed these amazingly delicious cookies to coordinate with one of the prints in our Sending Love Designer Paper Pack.

I was super excited to share this fun favor idea with everyone who came to Bunco.  Since I gave away two of these stamp sets at this event the ladies were even more anxious to win so they could make this.

And of course those who have tasted Cindy's cookies before were asking if they could open them up and eat them before we ate dinner because they are just that delicious.

I feel so blessed to have such a gifted and talented friend like Cindy in my life so that we can partner together on projects such as this.

Well, speaking of Cindy, I have to get up bright and early on Valentine's Day 2017  because I am going to go on a hike with her and my friend Karin.  Cindy is not a big fan of photos but she knows if we make it to the top of the mountain, there will be photos and victory chocolate too.

That sounds like the perfect way to start my Valentine's Day this year.  With people I love, doing something I love, in the place I love more than anywhere else on earth.

I hope no matter how you celebrate your Valentine's day this year, that it is filled with love and blessings and the knowledge that God loves you and so do I.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Balloon Adventures Bunco

Last week the noise level went up in my home as people gathered to attend a Birthday Themed Bunco.

I was so excited to share our newest products with everyone and since there are so many wonderful new birthday goodies I decided that I would share some of my new favorites.

The items I chose to focus on was Balloon Adventures stamp set and the Balloon Pop Up Thinlits dies which are one of the first products you come to on page 5 of our new Occasions catalog..

Birthday Favor Box and Birthday Box Gift Card Holder - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Birthday Favor Box and Birthday Box Gift Card Holder - www.stampedwithaloha.com

I created two projects that had belly bands, a box and a gift card holder.

Don't tell my Green Bay Packer loving stamping friends but I chose these colors Pacific Point and Emerald Envy in honor of my favorite football team, the Seattle Seahawks!!!  But that can be our little secret!

Actually since it was a birthday theme, I thought I better make a variety of bright colors, so I used this combination of Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango too.

The DSP (designer series paper) used on both of these projects is called Party Animal.

Would you like to know how to make this cute holder?

Take a piece of card stock that is cut at 3 x 11.  Score it at 1/2 inch, 4 inches and 7 1/2 inches.  Fold up the 1/2 inch part and secure with two glue dots on the edges to leave room to hold a gift card.  Then fold it up and wrap a belly band around it with sentiment of  your choice.  You can make the belly band as wide as you need it to be, mine was one inch.

Here is a look at the inside of the project after you take the belly band off.

I love this stamp that says, "open me already", what a fun and sassy message for to the anxious recipient who wants to know what is inside!

This photo show the 1/2 inch flap and the Happy Birthday sentiment.  It also shows how I used this awesome new bow thinlit from the Balloon Pop Up collection to create a bow that pops up when you fold it.  All you have to do is use the Thinlet right below the score line and then you fold it up, it will pop up!  I LOVE this new thinlit and know I will use it often.

Teresa won the Aloha prize which was three gift card holders that I tacked down to a piece of card stock and wrapped in cellophane.  Teresa was so excited she won, she got up and started dancing which is why the photo of the prize and of Teresa, the Dancing Queen, is totally blurry!!!

Next month we've decided to start having a card swap at Bunco so that will make our Bunco Adventures even more creative and fun and that means I'll have even MORE inspiration and creativity to share with you!

Having nights like these sure make me thank God for the blessing of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator!  I sure LOVE what I do!  Especially because doing so has brought so many wonderful people into my life.

I hope you enjoyed this post!  Check back a little later this week to hear all about my Birthday Bash stamp camp that was this past Saturday.  This same set was also featured at the camp so I have a bunch of fun projects that I will look forward to sharing with you soon.

Oh and by the way, if you have any questions or comments about this project or about anything you see on my blog, did you know you can scroll down past the product descriptions and comment below?  I always love to hear from you!  So just look for the word, "comment" and leave me a note!

Have a blessed week!  Cindy

Christmas Bunco

Last week my home was filled with lots of love and laughter as I hosted my monthly bunco games.  This month was extra special cause our theme was Christmas.  I love this time of year and I really enjoy having people over for fellowship and fun.

People have enjoyed "dressing up" for Bunco so we discussed having a "Night Before Christmas Theme" but thinking that not everyone would be comfortable showing up in their pajamas, I told them to just come dressed festive.

On Sunday, I dressed up in a Holiday Sweater but when Olivia and Patti showed up in their matching Pajamas looking so cute, I had to run upstairs and change because they looked entirely too comfortable.

Just after everyone arrived imagine my surprise when I heard a "Clatter" at my door and suddenly Mrs. Claus was there smiling and ringing her jingle bells.  Mrs. Claus was telling everyone "Merry Christmas" as she strolled through the room spreading Christmas Cheer.

Rosita looked so cute dressed as Mrs. Claus, she shared that she and her late husband used to dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus for many Christmas Parties and even made an appearance in a Christmas parade.  I was so honored that she took the time to continue this tradition at my home and continue to share the magic of Christmas.

The product I featured at this month's bunco was the Presents and Pinecones DSP and matching Washi Tape.  For the favor I created a box of chocolate peppermint candies.  I put the mints in our clear tiny treat boxes which are my favorite this holiday season.  If you use a 2 inch punch you can fit exactly five peppermint candies in this box.

To tie in the Washi Tape I covered a piece of scrap paper with rows of washi and then punched it out with a circle punch to create a colorful backdrop for the top of the favor.

The mints were made by attaching punched circles that featured different patterns of the cute DSP.

At a recent  Holiday Craft Fair I created this little santa box (below) where I created a wrap for a small peppermint bark bag of candy.  I decided to copy my own idea for the Aloha prize but on a larger scale.  Everyone loves peppermint bark and the larger package gave me more space to feature the cute DSP.

I added some Jingle Bells to the bow so that as everyone passed it around during the game it would add some christmas cheer to the room.

Both the Sunday and Monday games were filled with love, laughter and the spirit of giving.  Rosita and Sarina made planners for everyone and gave everyone a cute favor made entirely out of candy.

Bea hand made these cute washcloths and everyone got to choose the one they liked.  I was so touched by the kind hearts of these lovely friends.

Below is a photo of our Sunday group.  Normally this group is a little more reserved than the Monday group but things were a little louder than usual this time around.  It always make me laugh and smile when I hear others having fun.

On Monday night, we were doubly blessed because Mrs. Claus came again but this time she had a big surprise!  She brought Santa with her.

Words can not express my gratitude towards Santa and Mrs. Claus (Sarina and Rosita) and the joy they have brought into my life over the past few months that they have been stamping with me.  They have such giving hearts and everyone has been so blessed to come to know them and enjoy having them with us each month.

Monday Bunco - www.stampedwithaloha.com

Here is our Monday group just before we hugged and wished each other a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Our next Bunco is scheduled for Sunday, January 8th and Monday, January 9th.  The Sunday game is already full but I have a few spots open for Monday night at 7pm.  This will be a Saleabration Bunco and will feature new products from our new Occasions catalog that will be released at the start of the new year.

As we celebrate the end of this year, I want to say a special MAHALO to all of the wonderful people who have come over to play Bunco.  There have been wives, sisters, grandmas, daughters, sons, brothers, grandpas, boyfriends, girlfriends, aunties, uncles, and best friends, all who have come together to play a fun game and enjoy a great time of fellowship and fun.

I look forward to sharing a new Season of Bunco with all of you in 2017.
