My life has been extremely blessed by Goldie. She has been my assistant for a little over a year and has done so much to help me prep for my classes as well as keep me organized. I am so grateful for her. Over the past few months she has been on a break from assisting me as she has been spending time preparing for her wedding which was last week. Since I was in Europe I was unable to attend but I was so happy after talking with her about her plans to hear that everything went well and that she had a very beautiful day.
I love this photo. Isn't she an absolutely radiant bride? I love how happy she looks! How lovely to getting married surrounded by people who are so happy for you and on such a beautiful day. I love how beautiful Diamond Head provides the perfect back drop for such a special occasion. I also noticed the colorful dresses and flowers. I had heard Goldie talk about her plans for months. Goldie and Dwayne are HUGE Green Bay packers fans so she wanted to look for ways to bring that into her special day but in an elegant way. I think the green dresses and golden flowers (Packers team colors) did that in such a beautiful way, just like Goldie wanted. I am SO happy for her.
I will see her this weekend so I wanted to share with you the card I created for she and Dwayne.
This card is a little smaller than a traditional card because I wanted to add a small pocket to the inside where I could tuck in a monetary gift. I took an 4 1/4 x 11 piece of thick Whisper White Card Stock and scored it at 1/2 inch. I then scored it again from the 1/2 inch mark at 5 1/4 inches and folded it in half so the 1/2 inch flap would be on the inside. I stapled the flap down with a small staple and covered it with a matching botanical flower so it looks like this.
I truly am Happy for Goldie and Dwayne and even though they've been together for a long time, I'm excited for them as they begin this new chapter in their lives as husband and wife.
Congratulations Goldie and Dwayne. I am so happy for you both.
