Beautiful Ride Bunco

For my May Bunco I decided to feature the stamp set, A Beautiful Ride.  You may remember the little car boxes that I created for our Advisory Board Reunion Party last month.  Due to my travel schedule I decided to use that same favor for Bunco since they would be given to two different groups of people.

Here's a closer look at the car.

The car was stamped onto Daffodil Delight card stock using black ink.  I fussy cut the car out and stamped with with other fun images from the Beautiful Ride stamp set.  I then piereced the tires to add two mini brads.  Under the car i glued a strip of black card stock that had been embellished with a white gel pen.

The back of the box was the perfect space to stamp the sentiment, Life Is a Beautiful Ride.

Our Aloha Prize was this hard cover blank page notebook.  This was just a simple project but you'd be surprised how excited everyone gets at Bunco and want to win our hand stamped Aloha Prize.  During the game this prize gets passed around the room and the one who ends up with it gets to choose the first of the prize bundles.

This week in particular we had such a lively bunch that my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much.  One of these days I'll have my daughter shoot a video of the craziness that happens here during Bunco.  My Monday night group was so animated that they were dancing to celebrate their wins.  I wish I could have captured each one of them.

However, as you can see there are some blurry elements because they were moving and grooving so fast.

I did manage to get Jen to stop and pose with her prize.  I love how in this photo you can see all the happy faces in the background!  Win or not, everyone has a great time!

I would have to say that on Monday the one who had the best time was the winner of our Aloha Prize.

As you can see, she was quite excited and put on quite a show for us.  I won't mention her name except to say she was very, very, VERY happy to win and if she celebrates like this always, then I hope she will be the big winner again very soon!

Its moments shared with friends like these that make me realize that life truly is A Beautiful Ride!

Milestones and Celebrations - OnStage (part 2)

A couple months ago I was on a conference call with Kim and Linda.  We were talking and realized that we were all very close to achieving a milestone with Stampin' Up!.  I was about to hit my 500,000.00 career sales milestone.  Kim was approaching her 600,000.00 career sales milestone and Linda was about to hit her ONE MILLION DOLLAR career sales milestone.  There was a deadline approaching in which we'd have to reach it so we could celebrate it at the OnStage event.  Even though it was a bit of a reach for all of us, we set our goals and encouraged each other to give it our all.  With lots of prayer, support from amazing customers and friends and a lot of hard work we all reached the milestone goals we had set.

It was wonderful to be able to cheer each other on for months and then come together to celebrate.  Reaching a milestone, especially when there is a deadline involved is not always an easy task but I am extremely grateful to all who helped me to make it so I could celebrate it at this special event with these very special friends who are so dear to me.

Pictured below are the other 500,000.00 achievers who were present at OnStage this year.  This photo is when we marched across the stage to celebrate our achievement.

There were other reasons to celebrate as well.  Kim was asked to be a presenter at one of our morning sessions.  I know this wasn't an easy task especially because there would be a world wide audience but she took on the challenge and she did a fabulous job.

Kim spoke about customer service and her presentation was very inspiring.   I hope to implement some of her fun ideas into how I run my business.  In addition to working on her presentation Kim and I worked together to create a 70's themes Advisory Board reunion dinner.

This event was one of the highlights at OnStage because it was so great to get together with my Advisory Board sisters whom I've grown quiet close with other the years.

We put together some simple table decorations and set up a fun photo booth to capture group photos.  I also created a small favor.  My friend Lori helped me with the dimensions of this tiny box that contained smiley face mint candies.

The little car was created with the stamp set called A Beautiful Ride.  They were simple to make and I was happy that they survived the trip in my suitcase without too many dents or wrinkles.  We gave each person who attended a smiley face pin and reminded them to use their smiles to change the world and not let the world change their smiles.

Having this event also allowed me some special time with my rock climbing buddies Meg, Lynsay and Georgia.  The last time we were together we were huddled in a circle of tears on a mountain in southern Utah.  It was nice to huddle together with smiles this time!  I can't tell you how much spending time with these strong and beautiful women means to me.

Near the end of the night we swapped cards.  This is always a highlight.  The card theme was Customer Appreciation cards.  Here is the swap card I created for this event.

I loved using my Floral Frames framelits, Circle framelits and festive flower punch along with my Big Shot and a couple of textured embossing folders, to create these fun sunflower shaped cards.

All in all we had a fabulous time!  There was constant smiles and sharing the entire night!   Kim and I couldn't have asked for a better outcome for our first reunion with hopefully many more to come in the future.

The next day we celebrated Million Dollar Linda Bauwin.  Linda had been working on reaching this goal with her husband Jay supporting her each step of the way.  Sadly, Linda unexpectedly lost Jay several months ago and it was a huge challenge for Linda to move forward towards this goal.  I was so proud of Linda for pushing forward knowing that Jay wanted her to reach this milestone and I just know he was smiling down from heaven cheering her on with all of us.

On our final evening together Linda thought we were all going to a special dinner at The Roof restaurant in Salt Lake City to celebrate our milestones.  Little did she know that we had planned a little surprise party for her.

When Linda turned the corner at the restaurant she found her downline and some of her close  friends.  Linda immediately began to cry and she said, "I told you guys I didn't need any FANFARE!!"  immediatly Rich Griffith, who was standing nearby says to her, "Linda, this isn't about FANFARE, this is about FAMILY".   Rich (who along with his wife Dawn are people I ADORE) couldn't have said it more perfectly.

We all had a special night together in honor of our Million Dollar Linda.

I created these Laffy Taffy flowers with Linda's special Million Dollar logo on them to make the table look festive and so that everyone could take home a little memento from Linda's special celebration.

Thanks for letting me share all about these special moments with you.  If you have read this to the end it is very likely that you are one of the people in my life who have supported me and cheered me on to reach my goals.  I just want to say a HUGE MAHALO for all of the love and support you have given to me.  I truly am grateful I was able to reach a milestone and have the unique and special opportunity to share it with some very special friends.

Check back soon for a final update of my OnStage adventures and perhaps even a sneak peek of some of the things I LOVE about our newest annual catalog.

Also, don't forget that this weekend is my special #Imbringingbirthdaysback stack class.  Saturday at 9am or Sunday at 2pm.  This is one you won't want to miss so contact me right away as I only have a few more spots open for this fabulous celebration.
