Make A Punch Art Card for Cancer Care

Have Courage and Faith

Want to make a difference for someone today? Make a Punch Art Card for a cancer patient to uplift and encourage them.

When I was battling stage 4 Lymphoma in 2019 one of the things that encouraged me immensely was receiving cards from family, friends, and even strangers so I wanted to share a card design idea that features the ‘Courage and Faith’ stamp set by Stampin’ Up! This is the card I recently made and sent to a young girl battling breast cancer and I’m happy to teach you how to make it.

Stampin’ Up! Courage and Faith - Punch Art Card

The Courage and Faith stamp set was designed by Demonstrator Natalie Travis as part of her Million Dollar Achievement with Stampin’ Up! The words from Psalm 27:14, “Be Of Good Courage” is a lovely reminder to someone who is battling cancer. I read the Bible a lot during my journey and found strength in knowing God was with me.

Creating this card of encouragement was really easy. Can you believe I only used 2 punches to create this girl? Do you recognize the craft punches I used? Watch the video tutorial and learn step-by-step how to make this punch art card.

In my cancer journey, I swiftly learned the importance of a positive mindset, trusting in God, and embracing courage. Amidst adversity, I grasped a key lesson: valuing each day due to the day-to-day uncertainty and knowing we are not guaranteed tomorrow. The overwhelming love I received was unparalleled, fueling my resolve to share similar blessings with others if I survived.

One of my greatest inspirations was a group of women from the River Oak Church in Virginia. I only know their leader, Colleen, who is a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. I’ve not had the privilege of meeting the women there from the group, ‘Vessels of Hope’! These women blessed me by praying for me, sending cards, making me a soft blanket, and sending me the life-changing book called ‘Praying Through Cancer’. This book was the perfect tool to read because it was written by women who have battled cancer in various forms. Each day during my cancer battle, I would read a part and be reminded that I was not alone. I now stock up on these books and when I hear of a friend or loved one who has cancer, I mail them a copy along with a handmade card filled with words of hope and encouragement.

When I began this post I had prepared this card for a young girl I know who is battling cancer. Then today I got a request from a friend to pray for another young girl here in Hawaii who is battling a really serious form of cancer. I haven’t met her personally but I plan on putting a copy of this book along with this punch art card in the mail today. I hope that receiving it will bless her and remind her to have courage and faith during this challenging season.

I hope you too will Be Of Good Courage no matter what season you are going through. Life is TOUGH! But remember you are STRONG and RESILIENT! So BE OF GOOD COURAGE and know God is with you. You are not alone!

Praying for you, praying for those facing challenges today, and asking God for miracles! HE IS ABLE.

With Courage and Faith,

Cindy
