How To Make An Amazing Origami Star Fold Card

How cool would it be to learn how to make a mini origami star fold card? This card even fits in our standard medium-sized envelope!

I got together with my friend and teammate demonstrator, Zeny Lucey, the other day. Zenny taught me the MOST AMAZING CARD—the Origami star fold card!! It was a card made out of 12 x 12 card stock and shaped like a star! At first, I thought it looked like a card that would be out of my comfort zone to create however, with a few simple instructions, I made my first star fold card and it made me so happy!

Learn to make a star card!

It was so much fun to create this card with Zeny. However when I was done I realized that this card would be difficult to mail because of its size. I asked Zeny if we could try and make a smaller version that would fit in an envelope. Zeny got out some scrap paper and began making calculations while I just impatiently started to cut paper in various sizes cause I was so anxious to make the mini version. A few minutes later, the mini origami star fold card was born and we were so happy!!! It is such a fun card and hope you will like it too.

Eventually, I will make a video for the larger origami star fold card; it still is a great card to make but you do have to make your own envelope. This star-shaped card would be perfect for graduation cards, don’t you think?

It was such a blessing to spend some creative time with Zeny who always so graciously shares her fabulous ideas with all of us. When I think of all the fabulous projects she’s taught me, this is by far my favorite!

I hope you will try making this mini origami star fold card and get creative! Share your thoughts with me or tag me on your social media #stampedwithaloha. I look forward to seeing a whole galaxy of star-shaped cards in the near future!

Happy Stampin’

Cindy
