Make An Anthurium Card With Stampin’ Up! Tropical Leaf Stamp Set

Looking to add a touch of the tropics to your card making? The Stampin' Up! Tropical Leaf stamp set is the perfect tool for creating stunning anthurium designs. These vibrant flowers, with their bold red blooms and shiny green leaves, make for a striking focal point on any card.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make an anthurium card using the Stampin' Up! Tropical Leaf stamp set. I have fallen in love with this stamp set that is part of the Online Exclusive Shop. The Tropical Leaf bundle includes the stamp set and punch. Grab your supplies and let's get started!

Don’t miss the video where I show you how I took the small leaf image and reversed the stamp on the block so it would create a solid heart-shaped flower.

Don’t Waste Your Card Stock When Making Your Anthurium Card

This card also has a fun fold in which you don’t waste ANY card stock because you reuse the piece you crop off the front of the card. The video shows you all that you need to know.

Card Measurements:

4-1/4 x 11 Blushing Bride Cardstock

2-1/4 x 3-1/4 Basic White Cardstock

When it comes to creating the center of the flower, you CAN use the leaf punch that is a part of the bundle. The problem is if you have multiple flowers on your project each flower may look a little different unless you are very good at cutting the punched piece the exact same way. If you use the Whale Builder Punch it’s much easier to make your flowers match and look consistent. I also added some clear packing tape (Laura’s Tape Technique) to my card stock before I punched it to give the anthurium flower that waxy shiny finish.

I love creating tropical projects so naturally when I saw the Tropical Leaf set, it was a must-have. Now that I’ve discovered how to make anthurium flowers, I love it even more!

I hope that this simple trick will inspire you to create anthurium flowers for your projects or give you another reason why you should add the Tropical Leaf bundle to your next order.

Happy Stamping,
Cindy
