Tropical Inspiration

I just got home from my monthly Stamped With Aloha Inspiration Night.  Tonight's theme was a Tropical one where we created projects using our Tropical Escape Suite.

The first card, this punch art Haku Girl, is one that I shared in a post a few days ago.

It made me happy to find out that some of the people who came to Inspiration Night, were there because they saw this card on my blog and were anxious to make one!   It was fun to see everyone's card come to life, the hair styles and smiles all varied but all came out really cute!

The next card we made was also a punch art card that featured an Ipu Heke.  An Ipu Heke is a drum made out of gourds that is used in Hula dancing.  The shape of the Ipu was made with two circle punches.

I adorned the Ipu Heke with a fern from the Tropical Thinlits and a Crushed Curry Flower that was punched with our Bunny Builder Punch.  I placed a red rhinestone in the center of the flower to remind me of my favorite Hawaiian Hibiscus called the "Hula Girl" Hibiscus.   I take photos of these beautiful flowers all the time.  Here is a photo I took when I was in Maui last week.  Don't you think these Hula Girls are pretty?

The next card we made featured the Monstera and Fern images from the Tropical Chic stamp set This is a very simple card where I used only one color of ink on the leaves.  The ink color is a new one called Shaded Spruce.   Do you see the cute Tropical wooden flower?  These cute Tropical Elements that are also a part of the Tropical Suite create the perfect finishing touch on this simple card created for a great friend.

The final two projects that completed this set were a clear card box and pen.  This created a cute way to display or organize the tropical cards!

The RSVP pen worked great as the finishing piece to this Tropical set.  These pens can be found at most office supply store and they are easy to open and fill with your favorite designer series papers.

Tonight's gathering was really a lot of fun.  I loved all the smiles.  I think its because we are all so thrilled to have a gorgeous Tropical Suite to create projects that remind us of our beautiful home here in Hawaii.

SWA Inspiration Night

I heard lots of laughter tonight which always makes me happy to see that people are having a good time.

Inspiration NIght

I just love these ladies.  It is a blessing to see how creating with stamps, ink and paper can bring people together to experience friendship, encouragement and love.  I love the positive environment and fun we create together.

Happy Stampers at Inspiration Night

Last night, when I was sharing, these ladies really filled my tank.

As demonstrators, when we share projects, we love reactions from the audience.  If someone "oohs or ahh's" it make us happy to see that they love what we are sharing.  I made a joke the other month about how quiet they were when I was sharing and told them I'd work harder on the next months projects to hope to get a reaction from them... Well, they didn't forget.  Check out this video to see how awesome they are.

So do you want to see a close up of the cards they are "oohing" and "ahhing" over?  These cards will be featured at my class on Friday, July 6th at 5:30pm or Saturday, July 7th at 9:00am.  Be sure to subscribe to my blog or check back to see my next blog post which will feature these cards and the fabulous kit you can purchase to make them.

Until then, wishing you a happy and blessed day!

Cindy
