A couple of weeks ago I planned to have lunch with friend who I hadn't seen in a long time. I always look forward to getting together with her and catching up. I wish we could do it more often but we live on opposite ends of the island which makes it a challenge.
Prior to our get together I thought I would bring her a gift. Since I know she is a stamper and likes cutesy things, I decided to give her a honey bear so she could sweeten some of the yummy treats she makes for her family.
Choosing how to decorate the honey bear was easy! We have the perfect new stamp set called "A Little Wild". This set makes the most adorable animal tags that are double sided. However in this case I didn't even use the back of the bear. I just stamped and cut out the bear, added some color with my Stampin' Write markers and adhered it to ovals I had cut out with my Stitched Shapes Framelits.
The sentiment in this stamp set couldn't be more perfect for this project! "Hello There, Honey Bear". That's all I needed to stamp to create a fun little gift for my very sweet friend.
I chose the color Emerald Envy as the background oval because it was a perfect match to the green cap on the Honey Bear. I attached it to the front of the bear with dimensionals.
Since my friend loves to stamp and I was pretty sure she didn't have this set yet I decided to bless her with the set so she could recreate this project on her own.
I added some green filler paper to the bottom of a clear bag and inserted the stamp set and the Honey Bear and tied everything together with a green bow.
My sweet friend really liked this gift. As we sat and had lunch together I was reminded of how thankful I was for her friendship. When we said our goodbyes I thought about how I really need to find a way to get together with her more often. Hopefully next time we can stamp together and share an afternoon of inspiration, creativity and fun.
If you have this set, "A Little Wild", now you know a super simple way you can use it to bless someone you love with a sweet gift.
