Whenever a new catalog comes out I have so much fun playing with all the new products and creating cards to share with my customers and friends.
Last weekend I had my first stamp a stack of 2017 and here are a few of the cards we created.
The first card is a friendship card that I created with our new Oh So Succulent stamp set.
This set is filled with beautiful two step stamps that can be used to create an entire garden of beautiful succulent plants.
The words "Thanks for being a great friend" comes from the Window Shopping stamp set.
I stamped the words with black ink and then covered them with a post it note. I then stamped the flowers and leaves and took Wild Wasabi ink and sponged ink around the stamped images, making sure some of it hit the edges of the post it note. This masked off area looks bright and highlighted when you remove the post it note to reveal the sentiment underneath.
Card number two was this fun polka dotted celebration card that was made with the set Happy Celebrations. This set coordinates with our Celebrations Duo embossing folders which is how I embossed the word Celebrate in the center of the card. You just take the debossed side and stamp one of the splatter stamps from the Happy Celebrations over the top to create this fun look. The nice thing about this set is that it comes with many different words that you can combine together to make a variety of cards for the Happy Celebrations that come up in your life.
My favorite card was saved for last, it is this Yummy in My Tummy card that I have shared and will continue to share at many of my classes this month. This card is cute for Valentine's Day but it also makes a great birthday card too. The sentiment I used comes from the Cool Treats stamp set.
This card just makes me smile.
The circle framelits were used to cut out the tummy so a Dove Chocolate heart could be glued with a mini glue dot to the center of the card. Adding the chocolate makes this sweet card even sweeter!!!
Speaking of sweet, do you know what really blessed me this month?
As I was passing out the kits to everyone at class I discovered that there were 4 sets of Moms and Daughters stamping with me that day.
This was such a special discovery, I asked them if I could take pictures of their sweet faces.
It's was so beautiful to see these Mom's with their Daughters spending quality time together doing something creative and fun.
And let's not forget the boys! One Mom even brought her son and his friend to stamp too.
I am so thankful not only for these, but for everyone who comes to my classes week after week. I may be teaching them projects but they continually bless me as we spend a creative afternoon stamping together.
You know when we stamp together its more than just taking a class.
It's an opportunity to see new friendships formed and old friendships strengthened. It's a time where you can let go of the challenges you've faced during the week and focus on creating projects that will not only bring you joy as you create them but will be used to brighten the lives of those you will give them to.
So if you need a creative escape, grab your daughter, son, sister, brother, neighbor or friend and come and stamp with me at my next class.
