Birthday Fiesta Bunco

With the release of our new catalog I had the opportunity to plan a bunch of new themed bunco nights.  The very first one I planned was by far my favorite Bunco so far.  Everyone really got into the "Birthday Fiesta" theme and as you can see from this pre game photo, some even chose to dress up for the occasion.

Bunco as you know is one of my favorite stampin' events and this was was especially fun to plan.

The favors and aloha prize were all made with awesome products from our new catalog.  Many of the items I used came from the bright and playful Festive Birthday suite that is pictured on pages 10 and 11 of the catalog.

Let's take a closer look at these bright and colorful creations.

The favors were made with our new clear Tiny Treat Boxes.  I LOVE these and know that I will use them often.  I created the filler in the bottom by taking some Emerald Envy card stock and cutting it with our Fringe Scissors.  I then took the small thin scraps and crumbled them up with my hands and put them in the bottom of the box.  I then put a sealed bag of red Hot Tamale candies on the top of the green filler cushion.   Since the boxes are clear it makes it fun to find colorful things to put on the inside that will coordinate with the outer decor.  Because it was a Birthday Fiesta themed event I chose to use several coordinating Bold Bright colors!

Our Aloha Prize was this fun colorful box that had a chocolate bar inside.  I used our new mini pompom trim on this project and love how perfectly it coordinates with this fun festive suite.

I didn't realize this picture wasn't  clear and I had already gave this prize away before posting this but I wanted to include it so you could see the fun Chili flavored chocolate bar that was hidden inside.  It was so funny to see people steal this prize from one another.  Whenever you hear the word "Aloha" being yelled you know someone is on the hunt for this fun prize and if you are the last one holding it, you are the big winner of the night.

One of the things I love most about Bunco is that everyone has fun.  Just look at all these smiling faces.

And then there is my  Monday night group.  They like to dance.  Sometimes they break into a dance mid game like Anna did here, but mostly the dancing and celebrating happens at the end of the night when the prizes are given out.   It brings me so much happiness to be surrounded by so much joy and laughter at these events.  Its such a blessing to host such a fun gathering such as this.

Not only do I enjoy being around such fun people but I also love sharing fun projects with all who attend.  I really enjoy designing favors and the aloha prize using the latest and greatest products that Stampin' Up! has to offer.

Speaking of our new catalog and lots of fun people, this Saturday my group Stamped With Aloha will be at the Hawaii Foodbank at our annual Stampin Out Hunger Event.   I would LOVE it if you could stop by and help us reach our goal of 1,500 lbs of food for the Food Bank.  There will be a huge retired stamp sale, live demonstrations, a make and take, hand stamped card sale, displays, door prizes, refreshments and more.  To enter all you need to bring is canned goods or a bag of rice and/or a donation of $10.  All of the proceeds from our card sale will also go to help the Food Bank.  If you would like to attend, please email me and I will have a name tag waiting at the door with your name on it.  It would be GREAT to have you join the fun and help us make a difference.  If you can't make it but would like to help by donating food, please contact me prior to Saturdays event.

Here is a flyer with all the details.

And perhaps when you come you can place your first order from the new catalog and get some of the fabulous Birthday Fiesta products so that like we did, you can "Fiesta, like there is no mañana!"

Have a fabulous rest of the week and I hope to see you this weekend at the Hawaii Food Bank.
