By The Tide Bunco

Tonight is my By The Tide Bunco night.  We had a really fun afternoon of Bunco yesterday and everything set up for the fun to continue tonight.  My theme for April was By the Tide and it featured the By The TIde stamp set, corrugated paper and our tiny treat boxes.

Our Aloha Prize this month was a set of By the Tide blank note cards that fit into a small open card holder that was stamped with a shell image from the By the Tide stamp set.

I used aqua painters and our ink pads to color the fish.  I love coloring with aqua painters especially on a card design such as this.  I purposely led the ink bleed a little on the coral to make it look like it was an under the water image.

The favors were our tiny treat boxes that were topped with a small piece of our corrugated paper and a matching image to the card.

The tiny treat boxes were filled with a small bag of Hawaiian Sea Salt.  The perfect compliment to these boxes and useful too.  It's the type of salt I sprinkled on the Kalua Pork that is slow cooking in my crock pot right now as I wait for my guests arrive for Bunco this evening.

I love having people over for Bunco, it's something I look forward to every month.  I really enjoy creating the favors and matching aloha prizes that make people smile.  There are so many people struggling and going through difficult seasons so it makes me happy to provide an outlet a couple days a month for people to focus on something fun that releases stress and brings them joy.   The bible says that laughter is good medicine and I'm glad to know that there will be plenty of that happening in my home this evening.
