I knew that traveling to OnStage was going to be different this year. Normally our conventions are in the summer so it was a difficult time to travel for many. Also, the Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation to the Mediterranean is coming soon, so that was also a factor in deciding whether or not it would be a good time to travel. Let me just say, although the event was a little smaller and more intimate than some I've attended in the past I thought it was really well put together and I had a fabulous time from start to finish.
The Stampin' Up! staff are amazing. They go above and beyond to help us and show us their appreciation for what we do. On day one I was anxious to meet Chris who I speak to often on the phone when I call the home office but have never met in person. Chris and I often chat about Hawaii cause she used to live here so it was fun to meet her face to face.
Another fabulous staff member is Chad. I stopped by the info booth and asked if he could answer a computer question regarding my blog. The question was one I had asked several people but no one could help me. However, when I asked Chad, he knew exactly how to fix my problem. He opened his lap top and in about 3 minutes a problem I've had with my blog for months was now repaired. I was so elated and appreciate the time he took to help me.
There were beautiful stamped projects to see. On display boards, in swap cards I traded and even in gifts I was blessed to receive.
Raelene, one of my roommates brought me this beautiful box with the Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart stamped on it.
This box even had a pull out drawer where Raelene had hidden some sweet treats. This box was also made with my current favorite designer series paper. What a special gift from a very special friend.
Another great moment was when our newest annual catalog was unveiled. They passed it out in the audience and then gave us about 15 minutes to spend flipping through the pages. It was very exciting and fun to hear all the "oohs" and "ahhs" from around the room.
Of course I was elated to find a PINEAPPLE STAMP!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on it to make some fun creations. Pineapples are really popular right now but they've been one of my favorite things for many years now.
This sample was one that was shown from a live presentation. I love that this says, "Oh, Happy Day". Thats what I say about a day when we get a pineapple stamp in our catalog. I was really impressed with the new catalog and can't wait to share it with all of my customers.
I REALLY love our new IN - Colors. We were able to play with them to make this fun color chart. Going to have to use the Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy to create some fun SeaHawks inspired creations.
We also got to play with some of the new products. This was one of the cards we made. This is a small shaker card. We have some great new products that will make creating shaker cards a breeze!
We also got to create this cute friendship card from our newest card kit called Oh Happy Day! I just got this kit in my pre-order and can't wait to make all the adorable cards in it.
Of course one of the main reasons I attend these events is because of the friendships I've made with so many wonderful people. Lynsay pictured with me above is one of the kindest persons I know. She is also a huge inspiration to me. especially in the area of health and fitness. We talk often even though she lives far away in Canada. I am looking forward to meeting up with her at they gym on our next incentive trip. Its not everyday you can meet someone who you can talk about weight lifting and crafting in the same coversation.
It is also always a blessing to see Martha. She is one of our team members who we miss because she now lives in the mainland. One of our favorite places to go together is a bakery called Gourmandise. We took Kim there and introduced her to this delicious bowl of Creme Brûlée Oatmeal. Since we stayed in different hotels and I didn't get to spend as much time with Martha as I would have liked, so we snuck away one morning to go back to Gourmandise and have some one on one time and of course another bowl of oatmeal.
Another couple I love meeting up with at events are Dawn and Rich. Before I even knew Dawn well she was always so sweet and kind to me. We had breakfast together several years ago at Founder's Circle and she gave me some great advice on how to run a blog. She is such an encourager and oh so talented. I love the relationship she has with Rich. They are such a cute couple, so loving and so kind. Rich is also quite a character. Just look what mischeif he was up to on day one!
I wonder if any of the Stampin' Up! staff noticed Rich's FREE stamps offer?? Too funny! I just love Dawn and Rich so much and am grateful for their friendship!
Friendships, love, encouragement and support are just a few of the perks of being a part of this amazing company. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work for a company where I truly, "Love what I do and share what I Love".
Oh Ya, and then theres this girl too. Kim Williams who coordinated three parties, did a live presentation, marched across the stage to be recognized for her 600,000,00 sales milestone, has a heart of gold and a bunch of sparkly jewelry to match and is one of my very best friends. It was such a blessing to share this fun experience with her.
OnStage was truly a wonderful, memorable experience filled with my favorite people and things such as inspiration, creativity and FUN.
Our new catalog will launch on June 1st and I can't wait to share with you all the new and fun creations I will be making as well as all of the new fabulous products. Until then, I've hope you've enjoyed learning a little bit more about my experience and seeing a few sneak peeks.
OnStage 2016 certainly didn't disappoint and I will certainly set my goals to return again.
