This week I haven't been able to post because I've been traveling. I attended Stampin' Up!'s On Stage event in Salt Lake City, Utah. Demonstrator events such as this are such a treat and something I always look forward to. One of the highlights of any demonstrator event is swapping. This year one of my swaps was inspired by a card I made for Heather Wong. Heather is the manager and one of the trainers at the gym I work out at in Aiea called Egan's Fitbody Boot camp.
Heather as well as all the staff at this facility are so caring and such an inspiration to all who come to work out in the gym. The sentiment on the card says, "You've got Courage, You've got Strength, You've got ME" and that really fits the heart of the trainers I am blessed to work out with every morning.
The Bear's Gi was made by using the Bear Hugs framelits. I cut one out of white card stock and then took scissors to trim it in the shape above and then just added some little strips of black and white card stock to form a collar and belt. I added some white corrugated card stock to accent space behind the bear.
Since I was working with Bear Hugs, I decided to make a second design to swap. This card was a variation of a design I had made a few months back.
The Bear Hugs framlits are so fun and made it easy to dress this cute bear in a hula skirt by cutting out a skirt and using the fringe scissors on it.
Well, I hope you like these two On Stage 2016 swap cards. I have lots of things to share from my adventures in Salt Lake including a couple more designs I made for some private swaps I participated in, so be sure check back soon!
Oh and by the way the "comments" section on my blog is now fixed so please comment below to let me know if you like these cards, I always love and appreciate your feedback.
Have a blessed day!
