Every month I gather with my down line for an evening I call "Inspiration Night" which is an opportunity for inspiration, creativity, recognition and sharing. For my March Inspiration Night, I gave my group members the opportunity to invite as many non-demonstrator guests as they would like so that we could share what we love about being Stampin' Up! demonstrators at a Tea Party themed gathering.
We started the night with a blessing and everyone went to a beautifully decorated table and enjoyed delicious treats. The funny thing is, everything looked SO beautiful but since we were hungry, no one stopped to take a photo of the fully stocked table when it was loaded with scones, biscuits, fresh fruit, tea sandwiches and other delicious treats.
By the time I went to snap a photo of the food, the table looked like this!!!
My friend Pam coordinated all the deserts and decorations for this table. As you can see from her menu board there were lots of delicious options to choose from and as you can see from the plate there was nothing but a crumb or two left because everything was so yummy. I'm so grateful for talented friends such as Pam who know how to make an event like this extra special.
We began the meeting with recognition. Anyone who placed in the my "TOP TEN" for sales in the month of February, received this card.
Then we had some live presentations. Faye pictured here (above) brought this stamp set. It was the one that she had earned for free when she joined several years ago. Faye shared about how she just wanted to get the free stamp and that she had no intention to do any more with her starter kit. However once she got her kit there were many unexpected blessings that have come across her path which has caused her to remain a demonstrator for many, many years.
One of those unexpected blessings is Karen (also a demonstrator in my group), who just so happens to live only a few houses away from Faye, but they never knew each other. Since meeting they have walked with each other through many different seasons in life, traveled together and even teach stamping classes together. Faye also shared how twice a week she teaches stamping to the elderly and what a joy it brings her to share with them and see them smile.
This is the card that Karen and Faye shared. It perfectly sums up their friendship because they certainly are two friends who are there for each other. This card features the Have a Cuppa Designer Paper Pack and the cute Pedal Pushes Saleabration stamp set.
Norine was next and she shared a little about the special incentive trips you can earn when you are a demonstrator who works hard at selling, promoting and recruiting. Norine shared her own experience of riding a scooter in Bermuda and also how nice it was for her to be on a cruise ship and go dancing til the wee hours of the morning. Those are things she would never do at home but earning these special incentive trips have allowed her the opportunity to travel to exotic destinations and experience a lot of pampering and fun, all expenses paid as a benefit of her hard work. Just another reason why joining Stampin' Up! s a good idea.
Norine demonstrated this card which says, "there is always time for tea....and spending time with you". Time is another benefit of being a demonstrator. You can save time from not having to go to the craft store to buy supplies. You can enjoy time with your customers and friends stamping together and you can decide how much time you want to invest in your stampin' business, whether you want to treat it as a hobby, a part time job or full time career. The choice is yours!
Here is the inside of the card where you can put a gift card or a sample of your favorite tea.
I demonstrated the final card below. Which had a Z - fold. This is a simple technique where you fold the front panel of a standard sized card back and adhere a second layer of card stock as your focal point.
My favorite part of this card was the silver spoon and the sugar cubes created with our silver foil paper and our dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. As I demonstrated this card I shared again about how SWEET the opportunity was to join Stampin' Up! again reminding everyone just as people chose to drink their tea differently, so can you approach your Stampin' Up! demonstrator in a way that works best for you and your family.
I created these favors for all in attendance. They were done the same way as my Laffy Taffy Flowers that I posted on March 8th. They were just a little shorter and I did the flower with the Floral Frames Framelets and added a jeweled butterfly.
Here are the back of the flowers. I used glue dots to adhere a white circle which is the perfect spot to write a message to the recipient.
When you grab the top of the flower and pull, this is what slides out of the box. Super EASY and Super CUTE!
