Last night was my monthly Inspiration Night. Our theme was the Bear Hugs and Birthday Bouquet which featured the adorable Bear Hugs stamp set and the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper.
When I began designing these projects I originally thought I'd only use a bear on one or two of the projects but as I kept designing I couldn't help but use the bears on all of the projects cause I thought they were so cute.
Project one was this Oh So Sweet bear card. I stamped the bear onto Crumb Cake card stock using Early Espresso Ink. I then cut it out with the Bear Hugs Framelets. Then I turned the cut out bear over and stamped it again on the back side so that when you folded the arms you would have a stamped image on the back. I love all the accessories you get in the Bear Hugs Framelets, like this cute little skirt. The ice cream cone was hand cut from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper where there were lots of cute ice cream flavors to choose from.
It was fun to share this card with my group members who just like this card are Oh So Sweet!
The next project featured my favorite print in the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper pack. I just love the pretty coral and pink flowers in this design. Of course I had to add a punched out flower to adorn this bears ear to make it coordinate with the pretty paper back ground.
To create a window for the bear to peek through I used a 2 inch circle punch. Isn't this a happy card? I love how it appears that the bear is waving a happy hello.
Speaking of happiness, one of the things that I LOVED at this month's Inspiration night was how cheerful and happy everyone was. There were so many oohs and ahhs, as well as many positive reactions and comments of how people were enjoying making these projects. Knowing that made me feel great as I am always happy when I know others are having a good time.
Project three was a masculine card that would be perfect for my Father in Law. The kids call him Papa and he loves to fish. I punched a hole in the front of the card to create the perfect fishing hole for Papa Bear.
The inside of the card features a simple pool party strip of card stock with a couple fish stamped on it and this adorable sentiment that is the perfect wish for someone who loves fishing.
Project number four was a party favor. This one featured a white baby bear with rosy cheeks. After putting the candy in a cello bag I stapled two Blushing Bride circles together and attached them as a topper. I added a circle of the Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper, punched out hearts and the baby bear.
I strategically placed the hearts so I'd hide the staples that held the blushing bride circles together.
Did you notice that the candy I choose was Hershey's HUGS? I thought that would be the perfect choice for a favor that said, "See This Hug"!
I had just one rule at this station... Everyone had to have an extra HUG or two because I had extra candy that I didn't want to bring home. As you can see, sharing the extra hugs was not a problem and I was glad everyone cooperated and enjoyed a little sweet treat while stamping.
The final project was my favorite. It was this cute Hula Bear card. If you have followed my stamping over the years you will know that making a card like this was bound to happen cause I love to convert our images into Hula Girls or anything Hawaiiana.
There were lots of laughs coming from this station too. I don't know exactly what mischief was happening when I passed by this station, all I know is that the ladies at this station were having way too much fun putting their bears together.
My favorite moment of the night was when I observed Edna sitting alone admiring her projects and she said out loud, "Oh I just LOVE my bears".
All in all this months inspiration night was wonderful. I'm so happy everyone had such a good time, I know I sure did.
If you don't own the Bear Hugs stamp set yet I hope you will consider getting it so that you too can create some BEARY cute projects of your own.
