On Saturday I was blessed to spend the day at Cindy's home where she hosted a special Valentines themed class called Cupcakes and Crafts. Everyone who came had the opportunity to create three make and take projects and decorate their own box of Cindy's delicious homemade cupcakes.
Two of the projects were ones I had done earlier in the month but I created a new project especially for the kids who attended because it was something simple to create but useful too.
The new project was a simple "alternate" project for the January Paper Pumpkin kit. I created these simple heart shaped book markers and the best part is they didn't require any adhesive. Since the stamp set had so many different sentiments, everyone got to choose the one they liked best.
This is how the book marker looks when you put it on the page of one of your favorite books.
Since I was using a Paper Pumpkin stamp set for the make and take I took some time so share about how Paper Pumpkin works. There were lots of Mothers with children there so I shared how this is a great subscription to sign up for so that you can have a monthly creative escape together. I gave my Valentine banner to Cindy who put it on display and I showed everyone this SUPER simple alternative card that I created for my husband with the left over supplies that came in my January kit.
After stamping everyone got to head over to the table to make cupcakes.
It was so fun to see how creative everyone was with these sweet treats! Each person got to make four different cupcakes and package them in a clear container.
I then showed them how easy it was to convert the book marker into a belly band by attaching it to the top with a dimensional. Isn't this presentation sweet? It was so nice to have Mothers and Daughters like Karin and Aria pictured here who could set time aside to enjoy some creativity and fun together.
I am so thankful to Cindy and her daughters for hosting such a sweet afternoon of creativity and fun. I think we might have to make this an annual Valentine's weekend tradition.
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
