Our theme for October Bunco was Halloween and the featured stamp set was Spooky Fun.
The favors and Aloha Prize were created with the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper that was scored and inserted into one of our cello bags.
Let's take a closer look at the favor.
I used the Halloween Scenes edgelits dies to cut out the cute pumpkins and bat. The cellophane bags are a new size 2 x 8 and just perfect for treats. I used the Halloween Scenes edgelits dies to cut out the cute pumpkins and bat.
I filled this one with an autumn mix of assorted fall candy that matched this favor so perfectly.
I was so excited about the Aloha Prize. You can't tell from the photo but just before my guests arrived I put a blinking tea light candle inside and then stapled the top down in a couple of areas to make sure it would be really secure when it got passed around during the game. I hid the final staple behind the oval greeting on the front.
For the background paper I took two pieces of the Halloween Specialty DSP and glued them together since the black and silver paper is one of the specialty pieces in the collection and is just white on the back side. I thought the orange stripes would look great with this project so I cut a piece the same size and glued the two together.
As you can see everyone had a great time. Each time we gather fun is had, friendships are strengthened and new memories are made.
On Sunday, Rosita made this delicious Banana Split Sweet Treat and everyone loved it and asked if they could get the recipe so she kindly shared it with me so that I could share it not only with those who requested it but also with all of you. You can click here to get it from Pinterest, BANANA SPLIT FLUFF DESSERT.
On Monday night I made a Cauliflower Soup recipe that I had also found on Pinterest. Many people asked for this recipe too, so I promised to post it here. You can click on the name to get the recipe right here, CAULIFLOWER SOUP. I just made a couple of changes when I made it. I substituted Coconut flour for the regular flour and Coconut milk for the regular milk. It came out delicious.
Thats one of the things I love about Bunco! The fact that we sit and eat and "talk story" together before the game. It gives us a time to get to know one another better and the food is always amazing.
Our October Bunco gatherings were both Fa-BOO-lous Fun. I feel so blessed to be able to spend a couple hours with these wonderful friends every month. I love it how recently everyone is really getting into the themes and even coming over all dressed up!
Just look how adorable these two lovely ladies who came to Monday Bunco are!
Another month of Bunco is complete and this one certainly was a Fa-BOO-lous! Next months theme is Be Thankful Bunco and will have a Thanksgiving theme. Signs ups have begun and there are only a few spots open. This makes me so happy because I know that we will all have the opportunity to gather for fun, fellowship and a night of being grateful for the love and friendship we share. One that grows deeper after each time we get together.
A very special Mahalo to all the lovely ladies who attended Bunco in October. Having you over certainly was a BOO-tiful treat and I sure look forward to next time.
