Each year on the eve before the Convention festivities begin, I throw a themed kick off party for my downline. This years theme was butterflies which represents the metamorphosis we are going through as demonstrators with some upcoming changes in our company. At our Leadership conference in January, one of my upline's Sharon shared her perspective on the change. Sharon said that as demonstrators we are all beautiful butterflies and in this next season we will be crawling back into our cocoons to develop and change, when we come out of our cocoons we may be different but the fact remains that we will all remain beautiful. This example touched me because one of the changes happening will effect my no longer being a part of Sharon's downline but I am glad to have such a positive role model in my life who has set such a great example for me to follow. Sharon's inspiring words encouraged me to remind my downline that they were all beautiful and my life was extremely blessed to be surrounded by such amazing, beautiful people. So thank you Sharon for the inspiration, it motivated me to have a celebration!
My demonstrator friend and advisory board sister Kim surprised me by saying at the very last minute that she would be attending Convention. We've been "sisters" since 2003 but it has been a long time since we've been at a SU Convention together. It was extra special to have Kim cohost this party with me so we celebrated the occasion by coordinating our outfits thanks to Manuhealii, one of my favorite Hawaiian boutiques in Honolulu.
As our guest arrived they were escorted into this private room where we had a beautiful table all decorated with butterflies. The centerpiece was a large flowering branch with personalized laminated name tags. Each guest also received the Cottage Garden card kit and it too was wrapped with a cute butterfly tag.
These two "first timers" not only met at Convention but also were roommates. It was great to have both of them with us this year. Brittany on the right was recognized as a Stampin' Start achiever. Despite her very busy schedule, she is off to a great start as a demonstrator and I'm so blessed to have her as a part of my ohana. Oh and these's a bonus too, when she and her husband come to Bunco he makes delicious vegetarian treats!!!
Mary is so cute. When she realized she had not read the memo on wearing an "in color" she made sure she would still qualify for some game points by wearing an "in color" marker as an accessory!!! What very creative and fun people I am blessed to have in my group!
We always take time to share as we swap so that we can get to know one another more. Michelle is such a blessing to have on my team and she looks so beautiful all dressed up in her tip top taupe!
Dinner was amazing and just check out some of these fancy desserts!
My very talented friend Cindy of Zoe, Hawaii created these delicious "in color" butterfly cookies. They were so delicious but are so cute you don't want to eat them.
Also pictured here is a close up of the tags that Kim created for everyone in attendance.
We always swap! So of course this year we had to do a butterfly swap. There are so many amazing butterfly stamps and accessories in our catalog. Here is a photo of the swaps we all shared.
The night ended with a surprise! Our fabulous waitress brought our these cute boxes created with the all boxed up kit that is now available in our catalog! Making these favors was so quick and easy with this amazing new kit.
Inside each box was a cute little butterfly charm to help the team remember this years celebration.
I'm so grateful for these ladies and all the love and aloha we share!
