Pre-Convention 2015 Fun

Inspire, Create and Share Convention 2015 has just ended so I wanted to share the experience with all of you.  Here is a little bit of the Pre Convention fun we had at this years event.

I can't believe my first highlight of convention is a bowl of oatmeal but my group loves to find great places to eat and the Gourmandise Bakery has become a Stamped With Aloha highlight.  We have made it a tradition to visit the Gourmandise Bakery to order this delicious breakfast within hours of our arrival in Salt Lake City.  This is Creme Brûlée Oatmeal and underneath the real whipping cream and fresh berries there is a light sugary crust like you would find on top of creme brûlée.  It is SO ONO-licous!  If you are ever in Salt Lake City you have to try it.  Of course if you ever travel with us to a Stampin' Up! event in Salt Lake City, you'll be sure to find a trip there on our itinerary, this year we ate there twice!

Another favorite diner is the Blue Plate.  This place was featured on Diners, Drive Inn's and Dives.  We always look for "triple d" places wherever we travel.  This place is also an amazing place for a great breakfast with plenty of options, even for vegetarians like myself.  I love that they had so many options for me to choose from and everything was delicious.

Seeing that many of us travel all the way from Hawaii and we have jet lag to deal with we usually try to arrive a couple days before Convention begins.  Besides going to fun restaurants we also like to shop and sightsee.  This year some of us drove to Park City to visit the Olympic Park.  It was wonderful.

Since I love Rock Climbing I wished I could have a turn on this wall built over the pool, it looked like a lot of fun.  The one thing I did want to do was to ride the bobsled but seeing as I'm just recovering from a back injury and finally feeling back to normal I didn't think it would be the wisest decision....but maybe next time!!!

Finally we did plenty of shopping.  We visited our favorite stores, Buckle, Bohme, Trader Joes and of course Hobby Lobby.  We don't have these stores in Hawaii so having a chance to shop there is a treat.  This was my favorite aisle at Hobby Lobby although my husband warned me against buying any more fall decor for our home cause we can't fit another pumpkin in our storage but it sure was tempting!!!

I am so thankful for the opportunity we have as demonstrators and friends to travel to events and even take a few days prior to relax and enjoy before all the festivities begin!
