Almost every Sunday morning, I am blessed to wake up at 3:30am to get ready for worship services at my church, New Hope Leeward. These lovely ladies pictured above are a part of the worship team and I have the privilege of singing with them week after week.
Today is Anna's birthday as you can tell because she is wearing a crown. While serving together last week we all decided to take her out to breakfast at one of our favorite cafe's in Kapolei.
I'll be sharing more about the cafe in my next post as well as showing you the special card I created for Anna's birthday that was designed after one of the cafe's specialties.
Today however, I wanted to focus on friendship.
Friendly wishes is an awesome new stamp set. This particular set of cards was created using coordinating products such as the 2015-2017 in color envelope paper, in color markers and in color blossom accents.
I recently received a card with this sentiment on it from my friend Pam. It is nice to receive a card like this and know that someone is grateful for your friendship. Take a moment to think of a friend you are grateful for and why not take some time today to let them know. It's so important that we take time to encourage and love on one another.
How could you not feel good knowing that you have friends in your life who are always there for you when you need them. I bet right now you can think of that friend whom you call when you are down and you know they will be there for you. I know for myself, I hope to be that friend for others, to let them know that when they call on me, I'll be there. Suddenly, I feel like singing a James Taylor and Carole King song, "winter, spring, summer or fall, all you have to do is call, and I'll be there, you got a friend"... lol, anyone else singing with me?
All of these cards show our In Color Envelope Paper. I actually stamped over this patterned paper with black staz on ink and then colored in the tops of the flowers with a watermelon marker. It was just a small area to color and I really think it added the perfect touch to make this card complete.
This card is another great example of a simple card to send to show appreciation to a friend. This card features our new Banner Triple punch which has quickly become one of my new favorite punches. I'm sure you'll see lots of banners on my new designs cause I love this punch so much!
Finally, all these cards will be put together in this cute little slanted box created by my amazing assistant and friend Goldie. Goldie, like my friend Lori are two people that are gifted with being able to create boxes in a snap. I think it took Goldie less than 5 minutes to whip up the dimensions for this one.
And look how cute it is when its all put together as a set.
I love the friends I have on worship team. These are some of the team from the Waipahu campus and each week we try to take a photo to send to our other team members serving at our Kapolei and Aiea campuses. We try to be creative with our pictures but this one was a major fail. We were trying to make a tree to represent the start of our "deeply rooted" series that began that day. As we posed someone yelled out, "make your best tree face" and we all lost it. What is a tree face anyhow? Well at least we had a blast taking a series of photos that required me using my asthma medication afterwards from laughing so hard.
Some of my friends are "Sassy, yet Classy, some are "Fabulous" but all are gifts from God. So today, I wish my FABULOUS friend Anna Marie a Happy Birthday and to all my wonderful friends, many friendly wishes of love and aloha.
