Its Aloha Friday and I am preparing for my stamp a stack class tonight. In the midst of my preparations I have been thinking about and praying for a missions team our church sent to Japan a few days ago. This team will be participating in a church leadership conference. One of the things I love about my church, New Hope Leeward, is that we use creative arts as a way of spreading the gospel and sharing the love of Christ.
Pictured here is the team of beautiful dancers who traveled to Japan and I know will touch the lives of many who will get to experience their God given talents in action. One of these sisters, Kauwela, recently came to my home and danced for some of my demonstrator friends who were in town for the Stampin' Up! Hawaii Grand Vacation. I so appreciated her sharing her gift of hula with all of us and know all who attended were tremendously blessed, I know I certainly was.
It is that amazing gift that inspired today's Aloha Friday post.
This card was really quick and simple and so fun to create. Our fringe scissors are the perfect tool to create a hula skirt. I also love layering our punched out flowers and these were topped with one of our new perfect white accents.
So to all you hula dancers who bless us all with your gifts and talents at parties, special events, competitions, school programs, church services or even in our own backyards, I hope you will know how amazing you are! Thank you for sharing your gift!
