My friend Cindy of Zoe, Hawaii is one of the most talented persons I know. Cindy is very creative and everything she puts her hand to do from braiding her daughters hair to slicing a watermelon is done with perfection. Cindy also is super creative when it comes to baking. She makes beautiful cookies that not only look good but taste amazing and she can make them for any occasion, in any shape or size.
This is one she made for boys day a few years ago. She is hiding behind it because taking photos is not one of her favorite things which makes no sense because she is so beautiful inside and out!.
When you are given the task of creating a card and gift wrap for someone who is not only a best friend but also someone who is extremely talented, the pressure is on to want to do something special. So I created this gingerbread card on a shiny "cookie sheet" to give to her.
This gingerbread man uses some retired Stampin' Up! product but also features some of our new products as well.
I love the use of the silver foil paper to make the cookie sheet look shiny and the sentiment from the set, Sprinkles on Top which matches this card perfectly. I am glad I had the hostess set Silhouettes and Script so I could use the cute happy birthday hat that was just the right size for this gingerbread mans head.
Her gift was a monetary one that we attached to a coordinating gingerbread man whose legs had been folded so he could hold our origami gift. My friend Karin and I laughed cause this is our second origami money project and my attempt at folding the bill failed big time!. Karin wasn't happy with this little monetary cube she created but I thought it came out great.
I don't usually like to use retired products but this is gingerbread season for Cindy who is up to the wee hours of the morning working on her latest creations.
I purchased this one for my Mom this year. Isn't it beautiful?
It was hard to pick with so many beautiful houses to choose from, each one unique and special. just like Cindy!
We really enjoyed Celebrating Cindy and are glad that she liked our attempt to do something creative and fun with her in mind.
Just like the sweet treats she creates, Cindy is an amazing person and friend and all of our lives are tremendously blessed because of her.
Happy Birthday Cindy, May your birthday be as sweet and beautiful as you ARE!
