If you visit my home at Christmas time you will quickly discover that although I live in sunny Hawaii I have a special fondness with snowmen! I've been collecting them for years and even have one tree in my house that is dedicated to just snowman ornaments.
I am also a huge fan of traditions! One of the traditions I've had for over the past 10 years is at my annual downline Christmas Party, no matter what the theme, each guest goes home with a hand stamped Snowman Christmas ornament.
Here's a look at several that I've made over the years. See if you can recognize any of these retired snowman images.
This years party theme was Enchanted Forest so I created these cute lumberjack Snowmen and mounted them on to a small cut piece of wood. I used the striped rectangle stamp in the Your Presents stamp set to create a plaid design on the scarf and ear muffs. I stamped staz on on the scarf that was cut out of a red foil sheet. I was really happy how these turned out and am excited to give them away at this years party.
I don't know what it is about snowmen but they just make me happy. I hope that sharing some of these simple ideas will inspire you to create some Snowman ornaments of your own and that doing so will make you happy too!
